I've always loved Sly, his music, his style, his views on how the world should be, and could be etc, but I never realized how seemingly loving and gentle he was. I don't think he has a racist, or bigoted bone in his body, and we could all learn a lot from him if we would stop judging him, and simply listen to what the man has to say. He's the genuine article, open minded, non-judgmental, highly intelligent, and truly a child of the sixties & seventies, when things were more black and white, and less gray, a paradigm that was lost somewhere along the way. Maybe we're just getting old, and longing for "the good old days," and if that's true, then so be it, but we were extremely blessed to have come of age during those years, and today's young people would do well to educate themselves about that time period. They don't know what they missed!
