Very nice,,I love this turbo in our Willys, I can't believe how good the turbo is on gas, not that it matters that much but for tire size and weight I was pleasantly surprised!

Thank you and I do as well. My JLU I had. I lifted and put larger. Tires on was pleasantly surprised. Also, the turbo giving it extra torque does it seem to strain it there is much as a naturally aspirated engine love the little turbos my wife has a little Lincoln that has a 2.0 turbo she has a little over 100,000 miles on it now knock on wood not one single issue.

When I got my 2015 JKU I read up on all the options. After I read about the downhill assist I went to the steepest hill near my house, put it in 4 lo, put in in drive, turned on the downhill assist, and manually switched through all the gears just to see what each would do.
Then for shits and giggles I switched it into neutral.......
    What do you think happened?
The downhill assist feature continued to work as if the Jeep was in first gear, even though the transmission was in neutral.
Try that experiment on your '24, see if it does the same.

Yep that’s about right on par ha ha. Fourth JL every single one of them regardless of the trim level will do that in some form fashion or another just tonight I was headed in and the channels wouldn’t change no matter what I did. I just switch to Apple CarPlay. Thank God it’s wireless And I know that it’s going to start working without any worries. It may take it 15 minutes. It may take it me driving 20 miles down the road turning it off getting back in. I know it’s gonna come back on but it’s a guarantee that it’s going to happen. But it can be frustrating too.

A few things. First, its worth noting that for the 2024 model year, if you want an automatic, you _must_ get it paired with the turbo 4. The only model that lets you get an auto with the V6 is the Rubicon. Anything less (Sport, Sport S, Willys, and Sahara) and your only option for the V6 is the manual transmission.
Second, speaking of manual transmissions, i just went and looked at my own '21 Sport S and it doesn't have the trail control button. But I also have the manual transmission, so that may be why. I'm not sure if it was an option for my model year that I didn't get, or if the stick shifts just don't get it. Regardless, my 4.88 gears will crawl at half a mile an hour with no driver input, and holds me to about 1-2 mph on downhill grades (my house is on a 10⁰ hill, so I tried it out the other day). Glad you're liking the jeep. These infotainment systems are temperamental. I'll use the Android auto in mine a lot, and sometimes when I call my wife it connects and she can see I'm calling but neither of us can hear each other, requiring us to hang up and call again. Sometimes it will do this 2-3 times in a row. Other than that, I haven't experienced any other issues with it.

Now that you say that,I did see where the 2.0 is the base model if you will .I figured the turbo would cost more than the v6.I really like the turbo tho.Heck with your gears ⚙️ ya reall don’t need crawl control.Went and watch some of your vid last night, way to late haha. You got some good content.Ya my Manuel 6 speed I’m certain it didn’t have it either. Was just surprised if I had it on the other 2jl can’t believed I missed it(I really don’t think I did ha)thanks for the info.

@@jeepthings8875 jeep added a lot of standard features to the 2024 model year which is good considering the price of the Wrangler is getting up there. A new Sport S configured the way mine was is about $3000 more, and it also looks like the rear LSD is no longer an available option so it's not apples to apples (it would be another $700 or so). It may not have been available equipment for the year on your old ones. And thanks for watching! Hoping that I can get out soon and make some new content with the new gears.

@@backwoodstherapy your welcome, looking forward to new footage. i’m trying to figure out without jacking the rear of the jeep up exactly what I have. Ha ha I think it might have brake lock differential BLD. It does not state on the window sticker used to they would tell you limited slip.

@@jeepthings8875 from what I'm reading, the Dana 44 in the rear is now standard but the rear LSD has been eliminated in non-4XE models. Weird but it is what it is. The brake lock diff works pretty good regardless. Maybe they just assume most "serious" wheelers will either get a Willys or just straight up put their own lockers in.

Do you know if it has the crawl control. My other ones had the downhill assist I was just curious if my other ones had a downhill assist and I just never realized it ha ha. If it has crawl control, it will have a little cruise control icon, right above your Jeep on the button of the downhill assist.

You got that rite ha! Allll my JL’s have the ole radio /infotainment issue.Sunday the wife and I were doing a Sunday late afternoon drive.Too the freedom panels out, windows down .Backroad driving til dark relaxing end to weekend.Buuut the Sirius XM was stuck on channel and would not change it. Froze like popsicle.😂 . I tried turning the jeep off opening the door to reset it. Nope, nothing. The wife said don’t get upset. We only had the jeep a week. I told her I was not. We enjoy the evening. Told her I expected it to happen sooner or later.Got home put freedom panels back on started the jeep and it was fine. Don’t know what it is about the system but they will do that.

I’m thinking that you’ve just been overlooking the downhill assist button. My ‘15 sport has it. Pretty worthless feature, in my opinion.

I always knew it had a downhill assist. I just did not know it had trail control which in this jeep when you push the downhill assist. If you’re in for low, it will be like off-road cruise control put your gearshift a manual, and in first gear, it will do 0.6 go to second gear it’ll go to one point to the higher up in the gears you go the faster it will go and you can let your foot off the break and gas it goes on its own and turn when you go downhill it will maintain that speed. If you put it in reverse it will stay at the speed you selected.
