Beautiful. The coral(?) necklace was perfect to bring out the colours of the undertunic. And, as always, I enjoy watching the different ways that people pattern and sew.
Probably not the most accurate account of a war; but if you told me some people starting a war over a bucket, I would not be surprised.

@OpusElenae I suppose for the Italians it'd be "la Guerra del Giorno che Termina con una Vocale" (the war of the day ending in a vowel. Saturday and Sunday are inconvenient for this format in Italian)
Love my cyclas (have 4) and use them mundanely too. This week realised I nee a linen tunic - or gown. Time to raid my stash. Love your process!
This was a great tutorial. Now I am thinking that I want to make one for daily wear.
@@theresaanndiaz3179 having a couple which do the duty of cover up PJ's, apron, cuddle blanket, hide the pet fur, get the woodworking/pottery done, goes through the wash well, deals with seasonal change.... And still looks elegant....it REALLY helps . Choose your fabric with the details in mind.
I love that teal, and that is such a pretty facing color!!
And I’m very tempted to get one of those hem markers myself! Even without the distortion from hanging out bias, the difference in length needed to look even front vs back is so hard to predict!

I absolutely love how you used the pattern to make the facing! That was inspired! This cyclas is beautiful! A linen cyclas is a great idea for hot weather styling!
Woo, the cyclas continues! 😂 (It's been my werewolf week, so my tea of choice was orange spice or chai mixed with raspberry leaf and honey.)
I haven't had time to watch the whole video yet but I'm just popping into the comments to say that deep teal is absolutely stunning.
And now that I have watched, I like it even more. The colour combination is beautiful and unusual. I'm currently reading *Kristin Lavransdatter*, which is set in mediaeval Norway, and your finished outfit makes me think about some of the clothing descriptions in that book.
I have a mid elbow mid calf tunic out of a heavyweight black linen that is now a soft charcoal. And sooooo comfy!

Anxious for the styling but the teal linen is beautiful (my first historic linen pattern sew was teal linen). Hopefully it cools down soon so the event is pleasant.

A sacrifice for the algorithm gods
Great work! I watched this while working on extending the pockets on a pair of jeans. I could sew them in by machine, but it's easier to do it by hand with my chronic fatigue. Slower, but less spoons. Aren't bodies weird? 😂
I can so relate to the chronic fatigue! I have three autoimmune disorders that cause fatigue, and hypothyroidism, plus I now have Long COVID. Some days I can barely get food into me, let alone use my sewing machine. I love to hand sew, so will do that, by choice. Hope you find something that helps with your fatigue.

I have a kirtle almost the same color as your undergown. It’s a counterchange red and yellow linen with a tisch of spandex. (5%)

Have you considered making yourself a leather thimble? I saw you hand sewing that thick linen and winced thinking how it would hurt my fingers if it were me sewing it.
I have a metal needle; I don’t like the way leather ones feel.
And the men’s cyclas is basically the same with side slits.
That headdress would be great to hide my turkey neck...

Love your videos. I think I have seen most, if not all. The music during the reveal on this one seemed a bit discordant, and I had to turn the sound off to be able to watch the reveal. Sorry if the recorder was played by someone you know it was just too grating for me 😅
