A 5.1 setup might get you there, but it's only when the couch is off the back wall that the experience begins. Quality video with excellent advice! Refreshing to see information being delivered of the cuff. Bravo 🎉
You sir , deserve a ton of credit for your amazing content ! Such an information packed and entertaining rundown of the history and progression of surround sound 👏. Thank you !
I have a totally inappropriate 7.2.4 system in my 13x16 bedroom/HT, but I enjoy it immensely. My front 3, unmatched subs (different 12" models) and each of my sort-of unmatched heights (different versions of the same speaker) are Klipsch and my surrounds, which are each corner my single chair, less than 2 feet away from my head, are satellites from an original Polk starter 5.1 system. My heights hang on the wall near the ceiling...and my chair is against the back wall. If I'm not too lazy, I'll move my chair about 3 or 4 feet forward so I can get better effects from my rear heights.
@@BillyWizz-m8v I have since moved into my first house (2 bed townhome with an open first floor, purchased 12/23) but the situation is the same...my only choice for a seating area is against the wall opposite my TV, etc., etc. I may not be able to have a dedicated space until I retire and/or buy a bigger house or both. The only difference, although slight, is that I now own a sofa and the L/R surrounds are farther away and by back surrounds are between the 3 cushions, although I haven't had a chance to hook them up yet. I need to splice in some extra wire so they're long enough to reach the amp. I also just had my first neighbor noise complaint, which temporarily necessitated disabling the sub nearest the neighbor when I was watching "The Phantom Menace" (common wall), but just yesterday I ordered two sets of Soundpath subwoofer isolation feet and should get them by this weekend, so I might be able to get back to two subs. For $100 they better work. Even worse though was when I had to buy a Bluetooth transmitter for the more distant sub.
Good video 🎉
Eagerly waiting for your presentation of Auro 3D.

Bravo 🎉
Do you think a 1 ft distance from couch to back wall would be sufficient?

Is there a reason why your speakers are so close to your head?

It was usually and organ played in the front of old theatres
Surround Speakers are Great for Jump Scares in Horror movies
They're not the second most important number one is the subwoofer and center channel then the fronts then surround and overheads 💯
This is what happens when you reply before watching the whole thing 😂
Good video by the way
