Didn't even know they had an SRH3 I have the SRH2 and seems to work pretty decent, though the outdoor DB temp needs to be taken right at the condenser coil for targeted superheat.
Definitely on my list of tools to purchase! How to finely tune an A/C-R unit. Some guys 'alot of guys' still charge by pressures/temperatures. But by doing things the proper way your customer recognizes your professionalism and it shows you take pride in your work. FieldPiece has been taking off pretty good the past 4-5 years with there products.
It is very true that the a/c manufacture will not honor the warranty if they find out that the system had anything other than R-22. However, MO99 would be a good drop-in when there's no warranty left on the unit.
drz no offense but one of the first thing i learned was that hvac was not a failled proof science ,we did it all in Miami without any o f those things and guess what we did ok and no calll back ,,,,soon these poor guys that cant afford all of those goodies will be hurting ,,,,love keep it coming ,,,
I was going to go for my Nate cert before I was employed by the school board. The school board doesn't care about certifications other than the EPA section 608.
Good Video Dr. Z Just got a SRH2 last month, guess I'll have to do the math. Always upgrades. Just sitting waiting for those great OnCalls. Technology kind of backward here at Steve's Heating. Question about NATE Cert. my boss advertises that were all certified, yet none of us are. I'm learning for the A/C Heat Pump. Are you Nate?
I noticed in one of your other videos that your old heat pump uses a piston type metering device, have you ever considered a TXV retrofit? It could boost your efficiency by as much as 15% with your somewhat old system.

Yea we are from the old days ...I still use pay phones ... and analog meters
better than the Amprobe one I paid $125 for. Still better than the old school though. Thanks for the video.
I tried using a psychrometer but it said I have OCD so I threw it away, retrieved it, and threw it away again. A few times.
I saw a few questions regarding the duct traverse. I outlined how to set that up in my video. Thought it might be of interest.
Great video. So I can get the dry bulb temperature just by stepping outside ?

What if you have a TXV system? Will that tool work?
nice piece. I like Fieldpiece equipment, it works as well as yellowjacket and it cost less.

Great video and tool. Wish they had come out with it sooner as I bought the SRH2 last summer, lol. Take care.

I don't have the SRH2. I guess the SRH3 is the upgraded version with the in-duct wand.

I can't keep a sling psychrometer. It tends to roll off of a table or something and breaks.
Cool tool!
You said wet bulb and dry bulb reading, what is that?
Great vid!
Thank you for you video.
Can I ask how much an instrument like that costs?
I wonder if Fluke makes this tool...
I found a few places where you can buy it for under $155.
i need to get me one of these!
Thats cool
Problem is the probe is oversized. Can't just insert .
