The “Tohoku Kizuna Festival” is an event that brings together six summer festivals representing the Tohoku region the northern part of Japan all at once, allowing visitors to experience the festivals, culture, and food of the region. The Aomori Nebuta Festival, the Akita Kanto Festival, the Morioka Sansa Odori Festival, the Yamagata Hanagasa Festival, the Sendai Tanabata Festival, and the Fukushima Waraji Festival all come together creating vibrant energetic scenes unique to the Tohoku Kizuna Festival.
