UCAS specifies not to put volunteer work under Employment, yet I'm a bit worried that med schools would miss that from my PS. I also heard (as you also mentioned) that people would just put them there anyway. How important is it that you put your volunteer experience there?
Based on experience, you can put your volunteer work under Employment. However, if you choose not to make sure you describe this in your personal statement where relevant.
Medical school or not, are there any specific details to understand as an international applicant? I want to apply as a US citizen but my online school isn't shown and whatnot.
Thank you for such an informative video. I did not see any section where to add CV. Does UCAS require CV. Also, where do I need to add my transcripts in the application?
I have several certificates from several Universities that I got from some online course providers such as Coursera, Udemy etc. Which section should I enter them? Education? If Yes it is now asking me for the certificate name so when I have more than one certificate from the same University I cannot separate them. Please help me with adding my certificates to the application.
Hello, how long does it take AFTER my application on UCAS to be reviewed by the specialists and be sent to the 5 unis I have chosen? Or does it get sent to the unis right away? Thank you
As soon as you get your reference in from your members of staff and submitted your personal statement, then it goes to someone in school/college who submits it to the Uni. Then all the universities that you applied to get it but the length it takes for them to give you an offer varies depending on the size of the Uni and the amount of courses they do and the size of classes on the course(s) you applied to
The UCAS deadline for Medicine applications is usually the 15th of October. There is no problem with submitting earlier than the deadline, however UCAS will only let you apply from a specific date in September.
No, unfortunately that's not possible. It's a good idea to reach out to your university to discuss options if you are not happy with your current degree course.
There is a section for higher education diplomas where you can enter your undergraduate degree programme and enter the grade as pending. You can only apply if you are in your final year of the degree and will have your qualification prior to the start of medical school
Right now I’m in second year and doing pre-reqs before I can do my programme of choice in Canada. I put my classes and their corresponding grades under ‘other (international Non-EU qualifications)’ because I wasn’t entirely sure what to put my grades under. So if I apply to pharmacy in the UK would I go under ‘all qualifications>diploma of higher education’ and enter all my classes taken and needed to be taken in my application year or am I not allowed to apply at all?
Hello As an independent Graduate Entry Medicine Applicant, should I include my UCAT and GAMSAT exam in the education section as a qualification? I phoned UCAS and asked this and was told to add it, but because I am not affiliated with any educational institution as I am currently in full time employment, I wasn't sure how best to add this. I am also aware that all the FAQs suggest that the UCAT report is sent directly to the University and that it is not necessary to add it to the UCAS application. I just want to ensure that nothing is missed because I have no one checking my application as an independent applicant. Additionally, I wasn't sure whether to add a voluntary HCA part time role I have, under the "Extra Activities" section, because the "Employment" section suggests this is for paid work only. This HCA role has been highlighted in my personal statement, but I also wanted to highlight this work and the fact it is ongoing in my application if appropriate Are you able to help advise on these queries?
Your UCAT and GAMSAT scores will be made available to the universities you have applied for directly, you do not have to do anything for this. It's a good idea to add your HCA part time role in the employment section, this has been done in the past with no issues.
You cannot transfer into Medicine if you are currently studying at university. You can potentially study Medicine as a postgraduate after you have obtained your degree though!
"In this video, it seems that there is no need to include GCSE results in the UCAS application. How will the university know this? Also, how do universities view resits for certain GCSE subjects?"
It is important to include all your qualifications in the 'Education' section, this includes GCSEs. There is no blanket guidance on resits, some universities have a specific stance on this so it is worth checking directly with the universities you plan to apply to
I am an International student and my school is gonna provide my reference. Will it be okay to be an independent applicant or is it compulsory for me to be a center linked applicant
In the UK, the system is universal for all degrees, UCAS is how applications are submitted, monitored and accepted. Universities will not accept direct applications
I did an undergraduate pre-health qualification in Canada and am applying to dentistry, is there a different application process for graduate applicants?
Every university will have its own guidance on widening participation where they consider it. I advise looking on their individual websites or emailing the admissions teams for the universities you are considering.
Hello Dr Ash I have some genuine queries First of all I am a UG final year student from India with zoology honours..Should I apply this year or should I wait for completion of my graduation. Hello, There are many factors that go into applying, including the aptitude exams which you must have done prior to applying. This being said, if you have done them you can definitely apply during your final year. You can also apply to both undergraduate and grade entry courses, considering the financial implications of both. Have a look at our international applicant videos for more guidance. I've linked it here ruclips.net/video/154_kD0LD0Q/видео.html Hope that helps!
Thank you for pointing this out, confidentiality is incredibly important! This application was made by Dr Ash using this own details which he consents to being shown for the purposes of illustration. Not all details may be exact/true and they do not compromise security.
Okay, but I am searching for schoolarships in UK and I am not able to cover UCAS fee. Is there a way I can get a UCAS fee waiver as international student?
Initially Dr Ash read dentistry at undergraduate level and then decided to pursue a degree in medicine. Hence, he carries both degrees and can practice as both!

Thank you for such an informative video. I did not see any section where to add CV. Does UCAS require CV. Also, where do I need to add my transcripts in the application?
UCAS does not require a CV as all the details you are adding into the application are essentially building a CV for you.
I have several certificates from several Universities that I got from some online course providers such as Coursera, Udemy etc. Which section should I enter them? Education? If Yes it is now asking me for the certificate name so when I have more than one certificate from the same University I cannot separate them. Each certificate should be added separately.
How do i submit my documents?
In the Reference section, should I put the adress of the referee or is it for school?
This would be the address of the school if your referee is someone from your school.
2:05 made my day
Hello sir there like a waiver code for ucas application
As a GEM where do you add your Bsci degree? There doesnt seem to be an option in education?
You submit your qualification under the Education section. You add a qualification and can put in your university and go from there.
How many referees is needed please
Are the predicted grades manually entered in the education section by the referee or mentioned in the reference
Your referee enters them, this is something schools are familiar with.

What if you’re already a uni student wanting to change unis and/or courses. Can you apply through ucas.
No, unfortunately that's not possible. It's a good idea to reach out to your university to discuss options if you are not happy with your current degree course.
What do I put my qualifications under if am an international student whose currently enrolled in university?

The UCAT score is sent to your chosen universities by Pearson VUE directly when they request it. You do not have to complete any actions for this

It is fine to have an independent application
Can't we just apply directly all through university website.

Can you please make a video to explain about how to apply for apprenticeship?
Thanks
We will take your request under advisement. Thank you!
I did an undergraduate pre-health qualification in Canada and am applying to dentistry, is there a different application process for graduate applicants?
The application process is still the same. You have a choice of undergraduate or graduate medicine courses.
Can you not pick more courses
You can pick up to 4 medical school choices and 1 other degree programme. Unfortunately you cannot put down 5 medical schools.
I am a foreign student, I took IGCSE in my home town, how can I upload the results to ucas?
You should have a transcript of your grades and use this to fill out the education section
Make videos on scholarship
We have :)
Please can you show us how can mention that I am from the widening participate?
Every university will have its own guidance on widening participation where they consider it. I advise looking on their individual websites or emailing the admissions teams for the universities you are considering.

There is a charge for all UCAS applications regardless of home or international status
