Okay, does it really take 5 of you guys to rip into someone that respectfully gave their opinion? Focus your hate on someone actually being an asshole in the comments! Anyway, yeah, to be honest, I have yet to see anything close to this speed in my entire life, but I assume it's possible with extreme discipline. In other songs like "Spider Dance" (that this wonderful pianist also covered) it becomes more questionable, as they constantly make jumps back and forth between two chords at extreme pace that does make me question how it's even possible (I mean, those of you that are pianists can really see how insane it is to even match quarter of the speed - even with experience levels in the decades), but instead of choosing to declare it impossible and move on, I'll just see if I can ever achieve such a level myself one day. Seeing is believing, and it would be super cool to be able to play this arrangement. Footnote- even if this is sped up, the pianist is extremely talented and I'm in awe
This is uploaded at the recorded speed. I first started arranging Megalovania on February 2016. In July of that year, I uploaded a short clip on Twitter of me playing the intro after 5 months of practice. Personally it was a terrible attempt, with hands not catching up to tempo yet; a lot of practice was still needed. With additional 3 months of practice, I could play more comfortably on tempo by October. Through multiple sessions spanning several days and countless attempts, I was finally able to record what I was satisfied with, which is this video. Please stop leaving comments about how the video is sped up. I can assure you it’s not. Such comments are not only annoying but also personally harmful, since you’re failing to acknowledge the amount of time I’ve devoted to practicing.

Hello Lattice, this cover is amazing, and I really want you to know just how talented and dedicated you are! I hope I can play piano at this speed in the future too
I'm trying to think of something, but I'm speechless about how you managed to pull this off, like the seemingly minor changes are driving me insane about how you managed this whole song
just wondering to make your fingers so smooth and accurate do you do prep before playing or some exercise to warm them up/keep them healthy? amazing cover and skills
Of course, I'm a pianist and for example, I play piano 1 hour and a half everyday just to practice and have the accuracy and precision you mentioned, it's a really hard work to maintain well prepared fingers, especially for piano, which requires way more speed and precision than any other activity that uses fingers and hands. Hope I helped you!
Well i just tought that like in sport stretching is important, some do stretch with light exercise, like running or in this case playing a song. But in sport i get stiff after a while if i didn't stretch and just ran/i get more aches after, same with playing (both videogames or instrument), my hands get stiff after a while and putting them under warm water for a bit or stretching them before starting kinda works, but i also got a lot worse with age (i'm just 23 tough), so since he/she looks way smoother than anything i've ever seen i was wondering if he/she does anything special to keep the hands healthy/smooth before or after playing. Got longwinded sorry lol
yeah but i defenitively have stiffer hands than even last year and getting worse, i play everyday so is it just age or is there a way to keep healthy hands? lol
It hurts less and less the more you play, bruh ;). I remember when I was really little my hands were just too small for stuff like that and I just kept stretching them to death ;) (to get them more flexible). It then took another 1000 hours of practice to make it less hurt when playing such things this fast or when you have to play hard stuff really loud or when it's a long and hard piece. As a pianist you don't really need "exercises" to do a "warm up" for your hands, however there are for example etudes, that are basically exercises to make your fingers get fit at something specifical depending on which etudes you want to play or what you want to get better at but there is no real warm up for your fingers. When you are right before a concert or something you usually go through that piece before you have to start.
