Turned out beautiful. Makes me wish we lived closer to one another. I would let Don search our 20acres (19 of it is all woodland and we have 2 creeks) for some burled wood, he could have the trees, just make me something like this and I have a 20inch table mold that I desperately want a river end table made with it. I know we have some trees with burls, just not sure if they have died yet. I can't walk to our creek any longer to see. We also have a dead oak that has a big hollow section. It did have European hornets living in it until we had someone come out and take care of them.
Sounds amazing!!! We had 20 acres in Tennessee for about 7 years that he built a cabin on. It was a vacation weekend place. Just became too long of a drive for weekends 😞

I’ve had comments removed from southern lady’s a few times on different posts. It’s so strange and they are definitely not offensive comments which is the strangest thing. But glad you got it this time. On southern lady’s I had posted the same comment 3 times and kept getting deleted even changing my wording. 😏

Absolutely beautiful!! I’ve noticed you wear gloves but not a mask 😷 I haven’t started yet - 1. I can’t decide which resin to go for out of the 3 I’ve narrowed down to. 2. I need a mask because of everyone online, now I’m paranoid - I didn’t use one prior. 😞

Some people feel more strongly than others on masks. I just don’t because I want the microphone to be clear. None of mine have a strong odor plus I have a whole house air filtration system. As far a resin goes I use tons of different brands depending on what I’m making. I always list which ones I use in the description box if your interested. 😊

When you purchased the wood at the store. What would be the name/or type of wood to ask the sales people? Drift Wood? The project simply beautiful.
The place we go just has stacks of wood everywhere! There are no names he just tells us when we ask. We kind of just go thru everything till we pick out what we like.
Hi Michell and Don. I love this, but i worry with the alcohol inks they will fade, have you tried the colour obsession tints, they're still transparent also if you add a sprinkle of bling it abalone shell it will give a beautiful sparkle. Also i have been searching temu and i found some marble nail art transfer foil but im not sure how to use them for my jewellery, do you have any ideas or even better show me please. Thanks carol.
I haven’t used the inks or foils but I’ll definitely look into them!!

What food grade resin do you use? The resin in the description doesn't say it's food grade, so I wondered if you used a different resin for the top coating.

Dunno if it will help but I coat my wood in uv resin the cure it before filling to save bubbles, I am sure you get 100's of messages but that's what I meant when I messaged asking if you coated your wood because mine always caused major bubbles and I was jealous and wanted to know your secret 😊
On the thin first coat we applied a thin layer over the whole thing before the final pour on this one. We’re still learning and testing theory’s 😁 thanks for the tip it is well received 😊
