Man I couldn't find a decent sized battery... So I used a 30c 1300 2s from nvision nano series.. still too big... Does fit between rear shock towers but you won't fit the chassis.. anyway with the hi speed and the metal gears it's a little monster for torque haha.. I was going up to a box / wall and punching it and getting a few bouncing back flips ... Buuuuttt I moved the battery to the front and put the shell on.... Did the same thing.. it instantly threw the rear shaft... I think it was a combo of the weight transfer through the shafts and the brake setup from stock is pretty sharp.. and the wheels slapping back down at the abrupt stop... The weakest part was that flimsy little coupler bracket haha.. I soldered it and it was fine for your general driving jumping.. but it will definitely snap again.... I'd go for the metal shafts with the upgrade personally.. they do need it
Yea, traction plus power equals broken things. The metal shafts remove one of the weak links. I've been using these batteries, they fit perfectly in the chassis. I switched both of my Smashers over to traditional JST plugs btw. amzn.to/40ysdAk
Do you have a Link on where to purchase the tires you used on that first smasher. Looked really cool. My smasher just got here today super excited to play with it. Already orderd metal drive shafts 😅😅
Oh that chassis is looking very interesting.
Nice video too mate :)

would those body mount adapters work if I glued them to a lexan body to be just regular body mounts?
Probably, but we have more work to do.
What’s the advantage of flipping portals?
