I think this is my favourite Taeyeon solo song yet. I love that she's experimented with so many different styles over the past 4-5 years of solo music. I only wish she had been able to perform this live, since it would have been so good to see her dance - and she was going to, given the practice video and so on, but given the loss of such a close friend, it's understandable she chose not to.
Goddess of Peace Popular artists don’t perform to make it harder for new ones, they do it because they love doing it, that’s why most of them are idols. She doesn’t need to, you’re right, but if she wants to do it, whether she’s famous or not, doesn’t matter then.

As someone twice your age(s) whose musical education/talent comprised of almost managing to play "Three Blind Mice" on a Recorder when I was 6, I get the impression that although I can't articulate my appreciation for music as you two students/practitioners/real musicians are able, I still simply feel the same way you do about this music and singing. It really is amazing how music and singing transcends time and culture--who instinctive and direct and joyous it is.

This album is my favorite. It seems like a happy album but it's happy after sadness. So while they're hopeful and comforting songs, they made me cry. Like Umu said, you happy cry to [the whole album]. :)

Thanks for reacting! If you want to go crazy about the instrumentation you should check out Taeyeon's song "LOL" At the 1 minute mark, the instrumentation will hit you like a brick wall. It is just a really fascinating song
i also thought of adele!! i think the contrast is in spark feeling resilient and hopeful where rolling in the deep is resentful and frustrated, but they both share a tone of wisdom and a determination to keep going no matter the weight of the past they carry

I know this is an odd request but I would LOVE to see you guys react to marching band shows. Specifically the Blue Devils 2017 ‘Metamorph’ show. It is an incredible and breathtaking show and I would especially love to see the reaction of brass players to the soloists who are tear-jerkingly perfect. Please at least give it a listen, I feel like people just don’t know the greatness they’re missing.

Rolling in the deep is one of my favorite songs ever, and Spark is very similar to it. But I'm not complaining at all. Spark is like the combination of Rolling in the deep and Rumour has it, but plus a catchy dance choreography.
