can you guys react to o.o from nmixx its a new jyp gg
@@jeremyjacobb.pagulayan9806 They’re going to react to it later. Check the reaction schedule first.
@@Empyrean.127 where is the schedule?
@@jeremyjacobb.pagulayan9806 It’s in the video’s description.
PLEASE REACT TO GOT "STEP BACK"
Really only Taeyeon could do just a minimal instrumental song and still pull it off so well with her vocals that you never get bored.
Taeyeon could make an acapella performance in her concert becomes viral everywhere 😂
NingNing better, Chinese supremacy
@@JH-bb8in no one is talking about ningning. This is a video reaction to a Taeyeon's song.
@@Denu1811 I can't express opinion?
@@JH-bb8in express it in a ningning video to be respectful.
I read somewhere that the song means; the love she gives isn't reciprocated so she envies him, for being loved so much by her.
edit: yes this is for the lyrics, the MV is about the story of artemis
Exactly what Taeyeon said.
aint this song a story of Artemis and Orion?
I think it's a story of Artemis.
@@xalycon yes
@@xalycon the MV not the song
The MV director for #INVU posted the explanation of the mv concept:
Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, the Moon, and chastity
Artemis (Taeyeon) was in love with a hunter named Orion, but Apollo (Artemis's Twin) was displeased and killed Orion, so Artemis turned Orion into a constellation
And INVU = I Envy You
it fits with INVU’s theme of “i cant love you even though I do”
So that explains well
a little correction to the lore, Apollo didn't kill Orion by his own hands, he tricked Artemis into shooting Orion by herself
@@Dia690 I think Apollo also challenged Artemis to a bow fight, which may explain the scene with Taeyeon in the desert as arrows are falling towards her. But Artemis never misses, so that’s how Apollo tricked her into killing Orion. Or at least I think that’s how it goes
Now that I found this explanation and with the mention of constellation, I can finally understand why the song has that galactic, extraterrestrial warm feel to it. The song really captured that feeling and Taeyeon's voice is the biggest instrument to that. I love her voice so much.
Ok i guessed Artemis as the greek goddess that was being portrayed. Glad my instinct was right.
It was amazing how that dreamy, floating in space while awing at all the celestial bodies kinda feeling was preserved through a lot of the songs. Even the more upbeat ones ended up having a more emotional weight to them in the context of the other songs in the album. Overall it was a really well made album and you can really feel Taeyeon's touch in every song.
To think sm didn't want this to be the title song of her album. Thankfully Taeyeon pushed for this to be her title song. INVU is so addicting.
what would be the title track instead?
@@julianna9882 probably some nights or ending credits or smth like that, all her songs in the album are bangers
@@wxhcbjlnah it was between siren and another song that wasn’t released but taeyeon really wanted invu cuz she knew she could do it justice
@@meme8934 siren is also a beautiful song tho, i wouldnt have been mad for that to be the title. but this one is so much fun to listen to.
Taeyeon is one of the rare soloist that both singles and albums are beautiful and well made that you'll surely love every song. No skips. Her discography are all amazing.
I don't know about other artist, but I discovered recently how almost ALL of the songs from Taeyeon's albums have streams on the million count (*in spotify). Glad to know I'm not the only one who jams to the whole album because her bsides are just soo good to be ignored. tbh.
@@seasidecarnival i love listening to her whole album! Most Taeyeon fans like me really don't skip songs on her album, they are too good to skip 😭
@@reinesss13 of course we loves taeyeon's b sides, sometimes more than tittle track
One thing I notice is also all the different styles of songs she has and how she adapts to them
As a Korean that's nearing 30, when I heard she was releasing her first solo album back in 2015, I thought it was going to be just another K-Ballad stuff but boy was I wrong. From the rock sound in I, tropical house sound in Why, modern Western Pop style (kind of like TSwift) in Fine, the neo-soul in Something New, the unplugged sound in 11:11 - and those are titles or singles - there's so much variety in her full albums
@@akuhappy3246 me to time laspe and fine. taeyeon's fine got viral in tiktok and i love how people are using it for sad edits not knowing taeyeon's time laspe hits harder. her my voice deluxe ver is my favorite but all of her albums slaps hard tho
Taeyeon portrays Artemis the Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, the Moon, and chastity.
INVU mv director explains:
Apollo (Artemis' twin) who was displeased with Artemis who fell in love with hunter Orion, tricked Artemis into killing Orion herself with her own arrow.
Artemis who was sad about the death of Orion, made Orion into a constellation in the sky.
Also maybe they purposely released INVU on Valentines day ‘coz it fits the concept of ancient greek goddess since V-day originates from greek Mythology.
Thank you for explaining the MV! I knew that it was because of Artemis but had forgotten about Orion. Btw Valetine's day is not originated by greek Mythology, is the festivity of Saint Valentine, a catholic bishop who was a martyr during the Roman Empire.
The thing I don’t see mentioned that frequently is how OPEN and HUGE that song feels, despite the minimal instrumental! It really makes you feel like you’re in that vast wasteland/desert shown in the video!
wow you perfectly described why I love this song so much
@@misosoup7531 glad I was able to help haha!
Maybe the reverb? And the vocal layering? Not sure though, just what I felt made it sound like it as playing in an empty stadium but super crisp and clear
Or she could be in some planet in outer space bc Orion was turned into a constellation
@@kb-ih7ni yeah i think this is a large portion of it! layers of her vocals and harmonies panned all around gives it that spacey, ethereal feel
I always feel like I'm enjoying music with a friend 😌
I’m very impress with the whole songs in this album. INVU is a masterpiece along with the other songs which made me straight away ordering this after listening to the whole album. Hoping to see some other reaction for the other songs. Some Nights, Ending Credits, Siren, Toddler ahhh should I name all the songs 😆😆😆
I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's her best album yet.
Bold statement, I know.
@@riffgroove I love it but My Voice is quite hard to top, I would say that they're pretty close
The fact that both of them start jamming from the start, INVU is really that good!
I love Will's cute smiley head bopping the entire song!
Dude was just vibin'. You love to see it haha
The feeling this song has is tremendous I added it to my Spotify playlist right away. The hurt and the love, the complicated feelings accompanied by a simple yet well thought instrumental is wow
OMG YASSS BABY I RELATE TO THAT HIGHLY 🤧🤧😭😭
Right it takes me on such an emotional journey and it's not often pop songs can do this to me
Its so rare to see GG or Taeyeon reaction here but when its up mostly they enjoy it and I'm glad, I hope you can do vocal analysis reaction with Taeyeon's Dingo Killing Voice too~ anyway, thank you for reactic to Taeyeon.
INVU was definitely made for a colourful vocal 🔥🔥🔥
Very few idols could pull this song off
For me this was Taeyeon's best comeback song for a long time and maybe the best song in general too! It's just all in all so amazing and well produced song and music video.

i hope you guys can give us a full reaction with everyone on her killing voice video 😢🥲
Having everyone react to Taeyeon’s Killing Voice video might be a bit too much to ask for haha. So that’s why I’m hoping for a reaction by the vocalists instead 😭 I really want to know what the vocalists would say about her vocal techniques etc. Pretty sure we will learn more about the way Taeyeon sings if the vocalists were to react to the video, since they would be able to give a very good analysis on those things.
@@wenhui97 yeah right 😭 i mean i wouldn’t mind i’m good with any kind of reaction to her killing voice video but we NEED one 🥲
SNSD members never disappoint. the main vocal and kid leader, Kim Taeyeon is such a great soloist.
The only channel I can rely on when it comes to analysis. I love this song at the first time listening to it.
LMAO the way you add dissolved outerspace background, that's exactly what i feel-
I like how during the second listen through they're supposed to be transcribing, but Will just ends up vibing until he looks a Jory and remembers to focus on the sounds haha. Really loved this reaction and especially Will's insight of the MV. I was so focused on the lore with Artemis that that interpretation went over my head. But the fact that you can take away different interpretations or flip the perspective and still relate it with the lyrics and music just shows how much depth was in this MV
Love it, INVU have been on my replay since the release. Ive been a fan of SNSD since 2011 and it amazes me how artistically they evolve through the years.
Please do more reactions on SNSD and Taeyeon!
The whole album is a masterpiece 😫❤️
Woah. When he started playing the piano, I could have sworn he started to play the beginning of "My Tragedy" by Taeyeon. I feel like the Purpose album (her last full album) has all these elements these guys love.
This is my favorite reaction, I always come back here
Same!! I have watched this like 4 times already haha.. These two and their reactions are so adorable :)
SAMEEEE
this duo of reactors is one of my favoritessss
This song feels so fresh. SM never goes wrong with creating bops 💥
glad they picked up the warmth of the sound from this song, it really does feel warm and its such a nice feeling tbh! although it's minimal with it's instrumental, it still feels incredibly complex and super interesting. Really love what they did with INVU :,)
Her vocal run in the 2nd verse gives me goosebumps. She’s so very talented it’s mind blowing sometimes. SNSD comeback soon to look forward too!!!
One of the best synth based songs i've had the pleasure of hearing
it's jory, instantly, going on Spotify to like the song for me 🗣️🗣️🗣️ the appreciation for my girl and this bop is very appreciated in this household lol ❤️
it always seems like the reactors experience the songs in an entirely different way than me (a regular person lol) because of all the musical knowledge they have, it’s really interesting to see! like at the beginning how they immediately were vibing to the song
More than a year later yet I'm still so obsessed. I'm trying to understand why, in a technical aspect. The song is too good. Taeyeon is too good.
I SEE TAEYEON I CLICK
I am obsessed with this song 😭 it just gets better every time you listen to it.
When this song came out i was so impressed and ended up listening to her on repeat for weeks. Still love her, she reminds me of that time.
React Taeyeon live singing all her song in Killing Voice Dinggo..
Im sure you will know more how beautiful her voice and her song 😊😊😊😊🥰🥰
"The love arrow always miss." WOOOOOOOOOO
The production it’s amazing, im glad you are opening the discussion about the production as well
Taeyeon = perfect idol 😍😍
She can dance, act, sing all genres, her visual no joke, funny, so kind, humble person 💕💯🤗
warm was the best way i could describe this track. i also like how it was pointed out that the track starts out simple builds on with more elements as the song goes on, as if taeyon(or whoever the song symbolizes) feels small or less than in contrast to the person of their affection, and even though they don't want to, they unconsciously try more and more to match up to the person they feel inferior to, until everything kind of explodes at the end into what i can only describe is a guttural, pained scream when they realize that no matter how much they try, they still feel like they can't match up to the person they love. beautiful breakdown of my favorite taeyon song!!
there’s a very interesting review of her album, and particularly this song, on NME website (last time I read a review from NME must have been back in 1997, when it was still a printed version 😳).
please have a review of her album INVU also!!!! It was a masterpiece!!!! Highly recommended
Yeah it's not completely new concept but feels refreshing because we don't get much laid back song on kpop idol these days. And it's a reeeaaally great sounds scape right there I love it the producers did good choice combine Taeyeon voice with other instrumental sound, feels so rich 👌🏻
I love their reactions and INVU is literally a bop
omg yes we need a separate video for the album!! it's sauurr good
This is my favorite reaction ❤
I always find myself coming back to this video and rewatching it idk
I am OBSESSED with your reaction series bcs musical wise, I love how you guys explain and is very in touch with the music
the reason why I love this channel so much is y'all appreciate kpop the way I appreciate music with all its intricacies, production quality, composition techniques. I'm so tired of reaction videos that talk about everything but the music in kpop.... "omg they look so cute... omg the choreo is so good.... omg the outfits are so on point"
it's a music video /:
Finally!! I’ve been waiting for this since the album came out. As always the reaction never fail me❤️ Hoping for the INVU full album reaction bcs they are literally AMAZING
This song is still soo good!! I listen to it everyday
queen of korea
NingNing better, China >> Korea
loved this video! i liked the explanations, too. i wasn't able to pin point what I loved about this song, and what made it such an experience, but i think i understand better now! really appreciate this perspective ❤️
side note, i heard “acid base” and wondered when we forayed into chemistry
It just gets better every time you listen to it. Thanks for your reactions.
Reading the lyrics, I think the concept of the song is someone who falls in love and no matter what can’t help having feelings for them despite breaking up whilst the other person can get on with their life without problems. Thus the feeling of envy.
I love how it hits you again in the end
Amazing song! The whole Artemis concept really fits. Also, I just checked some of the reactor's music (bourbon chai) and I'm pleasantly surprised, I like their vibe, and it totally makes sense you made them react to this, you knew they'd vibe to this 😂 I like their insight of things as producers.
oh i'm so glad you got them to react to this!! the production really stood out to me in this song
they just teleported into another universe LMAOO THE REACTION
U should try forever one by girls generation!!!
Love this reaction :) and the editing makes it even better!!
INVU is actually about still loving someone you don't and can't have with you anymore, in general, but the whole body of work (song + music video) reveals that it is actually about the story of the goddess Artemis and her love, Orion, son of Poseidon. Long story short, Artemis loves Orion but she is tricked by Apolo, her jealous brother, and kills him. After that, she asks Zeus to turn him into a constellation so he's always with her and guides her in the night (and you can actually see the references, there's Orion statues over the MV and also, in the scenes where she holds a heart and sends it into the sky, turning it into stars)
Ohhh yea, unexpected but definitely a must watch. Taeyeon hasn’t been promoting in few of her previous comeback but this one came in and I fall in love, again. Thanks for uploading this 💙
UMU!!! let them react to Taeyeon's KILLING VOICE!!!!!
YES PLEASEEEEEEE
INVU just makes me feel like i’m in a different world. it’s just so dreamt for me
I’ve always thought that this song is very well produced-I dunno much abt music production but this song just sounds very structured and well designed for me. And “Meticulous abt the choice of sound and progression” is the perfect way to describe it!
King Taeyeon is Leader and Main Vocalist Nation' GG The biggest In The World,,
She is Diva Korea list top rank A,Vocal Queen,Legend
Phrases Famous In Korea ,"TRUST AND LISTEN TO TAEYEON"
She is Role model for Idol and Idol of Idol ....
Literally listen to this song all the time💗🤧
This whole song is beautiful the beat is such a beautiful heavenly beat
this story is of goddess Artemis and her incomplete love for orion and INVU for orion because he has surpassed the mortality and was placed in heaven
The song portrays taeyeon as being Artemis being in love with Orion and she is envious of him as he as a mortal can love whom he wants but she is trapped as a goddess and cannot love him. The irony he shies more is when he becomes the constellation and when taeyeon shoots the moon its symbolic of her heart breaking and hunting the love out of her life so she doesn’t get hurt again and hurt another in that way, which her wearing black to represent her mourning.
support this amazing artist a lot 💙
A masterpiece. In every aspect. So much art, fantasy, dimensions crammed into one little 3.5 minute song. Just f... unbelievable!!!! And that girl is an embodiment of vocal prowess; what intensity!!
That inverted triad (sixth-chord) is a very old-fashioned but incredibly effective harmonic means you'll find in every Bach Passion.
Taeyeon is killing it right now
YES FINALLYYYYYY AAAAA BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Taeyeon!!😍💜💜💜💜💜💜
These guys have given such a wonderful insight! Thank you for sharing
will look so wholesome and adorable. 1:36 to 1:44
I absolutely love this song. The instrumental and her voice mixed together man they hit that special place in my heart and mind that only a few songs do
THIS WAS SOTY
And the album is sick also! Hope to see more reactions from you guys ❤️
Im really glad they enjoyed this! To me this song had a very like early 2000s slow pop vibe but idk
i like a song for the melody, maybe just a high note done well by the singer,
or a line from a certain instrument.
But never have I ever was able to feel the songs from production point of view.
I can only imagine how much more fun and appreciation I would have had if I knew that much of music production so...
INVU
The editing! 😍
