Usually it’s called a colander, or sometimes a strainer. I think you should just point at everything and call it “a thing like that” lol. Because it’s adorable.
You and your boyfriend make such a good-looking couple! Can’t believe he did not know the shoe boxes were empty, and with dust on top too. 😁 So good that he is open and willing to declutter. Lovely to hear the French language spoken and also to hear your accents. Great video. Looking forward to Part Two. 😊
the things you pointed to: coffee mugs (cups), colander (to strain pasta), pot lid, cutting board (wooden thing to chop veggies on), and trivets (to put hot pans/pots on after you're finished cooking, so you don't damage your countertops :) so impressive that you are both so bilingual! I can barely speak English :)
Hey, thank you so much for the vocabulary ! Really helpful, I will try to remember it next time 😄 Thank you, and you seem you speak perfectly English to me! 😌❤️
Haha that’s so funny because we (French people) we hate our french accent 🤣🤣 Just a question of perspective I guess 😆 But thank you for your kindness 💛💛
I really appreciate your videos! I am struggeling with a shopping addiction and minimalism helped me a lot with that, but at the same time many minimalist content creators seem to be still stucked in a constant Circle of consumerism, because for example they replace their minimalist wardrobe or kitchen items every year with the one in one out rule or their homes fit perfectly in current aesthetics. This triggers my shopping addiction a lot, because I feel like I can only be a minimalist if every item I own is already perfect and if its not, I have to curate perfect minimalistic items. So i do not loose that constant feeling of „needing something“. You take that feeling away from me with your Content and therefore I really enjoy watching them! Greetings from Germany :)
Hi 👋 I’m so glad to hear that, maybe you have seen my packing videos where I show you guys what I bring when I’m on vacation, and it is 80% of clothes / things that I own since more than 5 years 😊 I’m really not a fan of the « one in one out » rule, it keeps consumerism happening… Use what you already have, and replace only when it’s dead (that’s what my grandma does, that’s what I do) saves you so much money overtime, and you’re taking new ressources from the planet 🌍 It’s a win win 🏆 And maybe unfollow the people who make you feel like you always need new things… Hugs to Germany ❤️
Hi Louise, honestly, this is such a sweet video. I love how organized and clutterfree your apartment is getting. ❤ I know that you’re moving out soon. But obviously it will make the move so much easier to do as well! Your loved ones are really lucky to have you around. 🥰 I’m looking forward to seeing part two. ☺️ Have a nice week.
Thanks for another fab vlog Lou and how lovely to see Axel!! I am always so happy to see a new upload so thank you for making my day just a little bit brighter!
For cleaning I recommend "Ocean saver" they are little capsules you put in water in in your own spray bottle. You can re-use the old bottle! Also-get washing liquid in bulk. I used to make my own washing liquid and it does clog your machine in the end. So it is more costly and affects the nature more. If you have DM in France they have bulk washing liquid. It is good!
I also tried to make my own laundry detergent. Luckily it didn't ruin the washing machine but it ruined the clothes. It left some kind of film on them that took few washes (with regular eco friendly detergent) to get out
Oh that also sounds bad. I also tried the soap nuts but the clothes lost the vibrant colors and the smell wasnt all that great. We learn from out mistakes and not everything is perfect
@@micivalantincic8227 That reminds me that years ago I tried to make laundry detergent with horse chestnuts. I think I used it too short time to notice anything on my clothes but preparing it was such a hassle. So maybe it is good I didn't continue and my clothes survived it. 😀
It's called a colander (the white thing to strain spaghetti and wash veggies and fruits in). A recipe for toilet cleaner: 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup castille soap, 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxyde, 15 drops tea tree essential oil. Shake well.
I love your videos. I’m also trying to lead a minimalist lifestyle, and your videos resonate with me, especially because we are the same age. This is such a cute video!❤
I had the same toasters and I think it’s better you keep the other one because it’s multipurpose! You can toast bread but you can also make sandwiches with melted cheese or with other warm stuff inside and it’s so convenient 😍
The empty boxes😅 reminds me so much of my parents home. Of course, it was more extreme. Eastern european parents never throw away anything! Anyways, good to have a partner that agrees with your lifestyle. I would get mad to be in a cluttered house now😂
50% of my clutter was comming from kits and setf for crafty projects and other clutter is from all the spirituality related stuff, we dont need all that made in china shit to become enlighted, so. but this is what made me discover so many hobbies and buy materials to create decor or whatever. I sold so many books last year, I stopped buying second hand items and clothes since its bad quality and it will end up in the bid rappidly but the new one stays longer, but I think I have to stop watching all those decluttering and organizing videos of other people who have rooms full of clothes, other rooms full of shoes and so on. It inspires me to declutter but somethimes I think those things couldve stay longer in my house. Its the same with delete shopping apps and bookmarks. Bravo, Louise for all the work you put into this channel!
If you’d do the channel in french, I would either way be following you. That way, I can learn some french ;) anyway, loved the video. AGAIN. Just love your vibes and you’ve already have an enormous impact on my minimalism journey. However, I would love to see a video of what you eat in a day (like Exploravore did) or on what you buy at the grocery store for a whole week and how much it costs etc… Would be interesting! ❤
I loved watching the decluttering! And it is so awesome that your boyfriend is on board with the decluttering. My bf says he will never be a minimalist but then sometimes he surprisingly wants to get rid of a bunch of things. It's my happy day then 😅 Also, I wish I understood more french. I tried learning it on Duolingo few years ago but then gave up and started to learn spanish instead. 😆 Where will you leave your dog when you are going on a world tour? Looking forward to the part 2 of the decluttering 😊
Oh I feel you about the happy day hahaha French is a hard language, maybe start to watch more french movies with English subtitles, that’s basically how I learned English and swedish 😌 My dog is staying with my family during our travels ❤️
@@minimalou_yt I used to watch more french movies and series few years ago. Great reminder to do that again 😊 So sweet that you have someone you can trust with you sweet dog. 😄 I have an older cat and with his health issues and personality quirks I don't want to leave him with anyone so I will be travelling through your travel vlogs instead ☺️
Salut Louise , late to the video today my WiFi went down for a week. Did you know you can use bicarbonate of soda as toothpaste and also it is a very good exfoliater for your face as well. I just keep it in an old moutarde jar. Washing up liquid in the toilet is also much better than toilet duck. Axel, enjoyed listening to you in French and English, Thankyou for making the video with Louise.
