8 Easy Step Perm Guide with our Pro #Curlformers
1. Start with freshly washed hair
2. Apply your Curlformers® all the way through
3. Apply your chosen perm lotion (we have chosen @organiccoloursystemsglobal perming solution)
4. Develop to manufacturers instructions
5. Take a test curl; be sure to look for the perfect ""S"" shape
6. Rinse for 10 mins if ready & apply the neutralizer.
7. Develop, rinse & condition.

Do you rinse and neutralise as with perm rods?
Yes! The only difference is that you do not foam the neutraliser up, as it tends to sit on the outside of the Curlformers, just put in on as a liquid.
Which perm lotions would you recommend for the various hair types?
HairFlair works with lots of different perm lotions and brands, just ensure it's a liquid and work to the manufacturers instruction.
Do HairFlair offer training on this?
They do! However due to the current COVID-19 situation this is paused for the time being.
What is the shortest length of hair you would do with this technique?
The shortest Curlformers in Spiral & Corkscrew look about 12cm but stretch out to 20cm. These can easily be applied to approximately 10cm of hair length.
What about perming short hair for older ladies?
Curlformers can be used on any aged client provided they are legal age to have a chemical treatment. Talk with your client to ensure their expectation of curl is met.
Can you get a variety of curl size with this method in the same way you can with conventional perm rods?
Yes! Curlformers come in 3 widths and various lengths, as well as Waveformers, so different curl and wave results can be achieved.

Does the finished result of a waveformers perm look the same as when the hair is curled with waveformers without perming solution?

The look is more natural than when it is curled without perming. So the waveformers would be much softer and less defined than if you were not perming but applying it as normal - For the Wavefomers final look permed you would go with the Barrel Curlformers.

So I'm thinking about using my curlformers to perm my hair at home. Can I let my hair dry with the curlformers in them after rinsing neutralizer? I'm not going to condition afterward either way. So I'm thinking of perming my hair in the morning and leaving the curlformers in until fully dry for optimal curl.
