Thank you. Ive been struggling with my 30 gal hex. Ive had it for about 2 months with goldies. It has been cloudy since day 1. I have a sponge and hob filter running. Tried the chemical clarity and no luck.
I am having problems keeping clear water at my new house. I'm using a tetra whisper HoB filter meant for a 30-60g tank--mine is 40 gallons. I've done multiple 25% water changes and sifted through the gravel, but it still appears cloudy. I then tried Tetra's water clarifier and it worked for a few days, but then it went back to cloudy. I only have 1 Red devil in the tank. Should I be using UV sterilizer or something different? I appreciate any feed back.
My tank is still cloudy from the gravel dust from day 1. i had to take all the gravel out and rinse it but its still cloudy. what can i do? mayb just keep doing water changes?
@@issacgonzalez8362 Thanks a lot. I think it was just from being new, but i bought some fluval clearmax cuz i saw it would filtered out ammonia and nitrites, phosphates ext. as well as clear my tank. It seemed to work almost instantly! I was astounded cuz i didnt expect it to clear my water. I would highly recommend it.
i mean if its cycled put it on the 240 but don't go crazy with introducing fish, this will probably allow you to add a few small fish without much side effects
Wayne's Fish World yea im using the Fx6 that i have been running for about 1 year the original tank is fully cycled.. im putting all the fish that were on the original tank onto the 240.. i have about 40 fish.. i will be adding about 10 more
I just set up my 75g tank and it is getting cloudy....I lost almost all my barbs and a platy in changing the water and restarting it. Only my tetras and other platys survived. But the minute I started it back with my fish, it got cloudy again. The PH is great but the clod still comes back. Grant you my tank is only 3 weeks old and it is not slimy, but I don't know what else to do about the cloud...any ideas?
I don't know if anyone has an answer to this question, but I was curious about using API pond accu-clear in an aquarium. Since the normal dosage is 0.25 cup per 600 gallons, the dosage per 1 gallon would be 2 drops.... the question is, is this product safe to use in an aquarium setting? It's safe for fish, obviously for ponds, so would it work for a goldfish in a 40 gallon? Thanks
I believe it's a bacterial bloom.. happens when you have a malfunction of Ammonia in the tank, causing beneficial bacteria to multiply. Don't worry Wayne, it could take a few days for them to be gone because they are important for the tank and the fish. Whenever ammonia depletes, there's always another bacteria to go without nitrite.
Really? I had my water tested and the ammonia levels on mine were between were high at first (I did fish food for ammonia so, ammonia and all that we're high) as of now 0- .5 nitrite and nitrates were low also so, I don't know what's causing my bacterial bloom
Second day of my brand new tank beeing cloudy. I used juwel bioboost and it's cycling now. There are no fish in it so I hope the bacteria will run out of food soon and get clear water. I won't ad fish until 4 weeks has passed.
I like the content for myself I'm new into fish keeping. Recently brought myself a 55 gal and I'm experiencing the cloudy water affects of the fishless cycle. Its been about 3 1/2 weeks into the fishless cycle i performed a 50% water change. The water look much better however still a little cloudy.. Should let it go or perform maybe another water change of 25%?
To keep crystal clear water I boil my tap water first let it cool to 78 degrees add conditioner and clarity seachem mix it up then add it to my aquarium clean the filter sponge and add filter media to your filter. Gives me perfect clear water every time. Now to speed up the process of getting rid of a bacterial bloom is use the recommended dosage of aqua clear or seachem clarity but you must have a fine filter floss added to your filter first.
Wayne, I know coveting is a major sin, however, your Double Dark angels are PERFECT! I’m overly impressed with those 2 and I hope to grow mine as healthy/large as yours. Thanks for the info; you’re so damn knowledgeable 👍🏾!
Please help my aquarium water turned cloudy and was cloudy for almost 3 months then after trying everything in the world to clear it up I finally removed everything cleaned everything and basically started over with in 48 hrs its back cloudy whats going on I need help
I go them from a fish auctions hosted by the james river aquarium society in richmond va ....hahaa i saw those and the platinums and i was like yupeeeee i'm getting them, and i won the bid on them all
I have bacterial bloom while doing a fishless cycle and I have 5 live plants, dragon rock, gravel and spirewood. Had ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Waited it out and had my water tested again and the levels have gone down the only thing wrong was the pH Wich read 8.5 went down to 7. Cloudy water is the problem right now 😐
I had a bacterial bloom, I put in some fritz live beneficial bacteria, 3 days later I went to sleep and the morning after that my tank is crystal clear
My tank is still cloudy from the gravel dust from day 1. i had to take all the gravel out and rinse it but its still cloudy. what can i do? mayb just keep doing water changes?
Dan M no, doing water changes will not let the good bacteria build up. if your tank is new and hasn’t been cycled, it’s just cycling and the best thing to do is just wait.
Yes, you only need to gravel vac if your rebuilding an old tank with old dirty gravel full of old poop and such, that will spike your nitrates. With new gravel you won’t have that problem so it’s better to wait until your tank cycles before vaccuming
that's right Wayne I like the old school rule videos life is too short to spend too much time editing I'm 100% with you
I think I"m going to give you guys these types of videos once and a while maybe 1 every 2 months maybe 2 every two months ?
Thank you. Ive been struggling with my 30 gal hex. Ive had it for about 2 months with goldies. It has been cloudy since day 1. I have a sponge and hob filter running. Tried the chemical clarity and no luck.
Literally me right now im struggling
How to get crystal clear water: do nothing it will clear itself. Nice clickbait.
Sometimes you gotta hear it from someone who's been there and done. Nothing about click bait at all.
I always love your videos raw and uncut... Still my favorite fish keeper on RUclips!
hahahaahaha still my favorite viewer
Raw and uncut sounds so kinky
I have a 30 gallon witj bacterial bloom 2wks now still cloudy. What can i do??

Old school is pretty amazing tbh, wouldn’t mind one or two videos being like this every once in a while
I think im going to bring maybe 2 every two months or so
Thanks Wayne for thinking of us. It doesn't matter what the advice looks like but as long as it's good advice. Great advice!

Great old school video!
Glad to see your new tank is cycling!
Keep up the great videos!
thanks a lot buddy stay tuned
I've fixed this personally after restarting my tanks. A UV filter will fix the problem within 3 or 4 days... EVERY TIME!
Where do you buy it? Can you leave a link?
Nice video I'm about to order some pearlscale platinum angels!
you'll love 'em
Love the double blacks man. And i agree with the bacterial bloom causing cloudy water.
its slowly clearing up, i just wish it would hurry up hahaa, but we need patience in fish keeping
Wayne's Fish World yup. Youre right about That. Lol. As long as the fishes are healthy then it makes the wait a little less stressful.
great info in this video, and the fact it is a raw unedited video makes it more real and keeps the information seem more continuous!
My tank is still cloudy from the gravel dust from day 1. i had to take all the gravel out and rinse it but its still cloudy. what can i do? mayb just keep doing water changes?
Hey don’t know if you fixed the issue yet but watch this video back from 8:00-8:33. I believe this may be happening to you!

I like it old school too. Thank you! I enjoyed this and the great information!!
thanks so much, i'll do more raw videos in the future
Wayne's Fish World I'll look for to them!
You guys think i have enough media from an FX6 to start up a new 240g tank??
i mean if its cycled put it on the 240 but don't go crazy with introducing fish, this will probably allow you to add a few small fish without much side effects

Black Angels are really nice!!! Loving the black and white combo
I put sea salt I did water change and added beneficial bacteria will this help clear cloudy water?
fish can survive inside mud so it's no problem
