This is why people in the Ga. Counties need to understand WHO they are voting for. First: She is Not a Judge, like the Chief Judge, she is a Probate Judge. A probate Judge handles the paperwork tasks of minor misdemeanors, marriages, etc. she doesn’t sit on a bench. Second: She was an elected official ( or is), and her position requires no particular experiences, nor a law degree. All she had to do to qualify, was register to run as a Probate Judge, and pay her registration fees within the required time. The voters of Douglas County can vote her out, just as she was voted in.
Give a person power and you will always see what they are. And clearly she has no respect for anyone, she that she was untouchable and law's didn't apply to her. She's a gross person and she should NEVER have power again.
Also, she has not been a foster parent since 2016 and has refused taking any children in since. So, she is NO longer a foster parent as she claims she is.

There was no “open door policy” her door was always closed and there was no talking to her she decided to implement a “dress code” mid day and on that same day thought it was necessary to send people home to change I’m sorry but you can’t implement a “policy” and it be enforced that quickly. she forced all of us that worked under Judge Hamrick out because we were grandfathered in and she couldn’t change things to her liking or use us as her escape goat when things went south as they apparently have. Hamricks staff was there for 10+ years I had just vested my 5 at the courthouse and for the chief clerk to retire after 30+ years when Christina came in says something because Charlene planned to stay however she was also forced out. Weapons carry license have a vault and are to be locked up only one person had a key to that vault because they have everything you could possibly need to steal someone identity name, DOB, SS#, fingerprints, background.. etc Peterson would take these files from the office to her home or wherever to “work” on them I’m sorry I’m no judge but it’s common knowledge that those files don’t leave the office and are to stay behind lock and key. All I keep hearing is “They should explain this policy” “This policy should be transparent “ “They did it” Everyone one who worked under Hamrick walked. She was finding ways to write us up so she could get us out so she could use the new hires for reasons stated on here “we were all learning from scratch” to keep her out of trouble.

I feel so bad for the Chief Judge. Showing her how to do her job that she was elected for wasn’t his responsibility and if he would have tried to help her she would have said he wasn’t her boss and couldn’t tell her what to do. the lesson should be that positions and jobs and what ever elections happen need to be meaured by current standards and not because 80 or even 160 years and before standards were obviously wrong. We should be a nation of meritocracy but race, gender, or even who you know or what family members you have should hold no merit. But whether its nepotism or diversity i think you find that those hires promotea person who thinks their personal power should be even or above their postion. What you have is a pattern of people who do not earn things end up with an entitled personality who keeps reaching further each time they overstep.

As a goverment employer its against the code of conduct to receive any favor or donations in office for example, I could not even allow a support to purchase popcorn for my child’s youth group because they would feel obligated or it would seem as a favorable action. So it doesn’t matter if she wants to talk about herself, it can be perceived as she’s using her position or the weight of the office to gain favor..
