great model - these will push you back in your seat when you blip the throttle
It's funny how a $40 solido R34 Skyline GTR has raised windows but the 1999 Autoart model that goes for hundreds of dollars does not have any. They will re-release it again with raised windows though, but it will be composite.
It's worse for Resin modes. The prices on those like Kyosho Samurai & Ignition have gone over the roof!
@@urbanizeddreams true. i think the Greenlight R34 is still available for a reasonable amount, although I think it also only has opening doors.
This model also comes with some really cool decals which you can stick on the car. Really like the RIP Paul walker sticker which is inside the side mirror bags which is a nice touch from Solido.
That skinny light on the trunk is the 3rd brake light and that red light by license plate is reverse fog light
love this bayside blue color, i bought the one with the drift spec livery but i guess i'll have to get this one to XD, damn you solido for releasing the same cars in other beautifull colors , this made me buy 3 porsche 911's in red , yellow & blue as well haha

Solido is going to make this also in midnight purple 3. As resin models "hater" is good to have a diecast r34 in the collection without spending 250 euros for an Autoart or 100 for the Mondomotors version. Unfortunately I'm really upset that they haven't made the openable front.
i hope they make one in the fast and furious livery but they probably dont have the license to as 1/18 movie cars are greenlight territory.

Really nice from Solido. I would love this one with accessible engine bay though. Seems Autoart made it but it's crazy expensive!? Anyway another decent entry from Solido.

I would love to buy a skyline GT-R r34 for my boyfriend's birthday, but have no idea what im doing! I would love it to be metal and not plastic. I've heard though that autoart is all hype. do any of you enthusiasts have any advice for me on brands??
I have three autoart r34s the r34 vspec in blue the red r34ztune and the composite r34 this r34 from solido is great for the price point bonnet and boot not opening doesn't bother me only this is the door post where the window meets the upper doorpost is wrong got mine in midnight purple today ordered new wheels rays 5inch backbox decals brakediscs and grill mesh will look the bomb when I am finished.

Please review the upcoming ALPINA B12 (E38) Alpina Blue by OTTO. I love that car but it's hard to justify that price for a resin model. Cheapest I could find it for was for about 100 EURO+shipping on Passion Diecast (not sure if they ship internationally).
I wanted to buy it but it is sold out. Now only resellers sell it for ridiculous money

At least Solido engineered the doors to open correctly..
Plus considering the Autoart version is at least three times the price I think the Solido model looks great.
Definitely Solido is a step above Bburago or Maisto....

So now i think I will be a probably adding this car and will apply some Japanese decals and slam it to the floor and would get this model illuminated

The model looks very well but very less features. Waiting for autoart they released 2021. I hope autoart make this again with diecast body not composhite.
id gladly pay the premium for an autoart diecast. this solido model is good but its a pass from me even though I'd really like an r34 in the collection. I have a Solido AM DBR9 LeMans racer which is an excellent model. all parts open. wonder why Solido chose to seal the hood and trunk on their recent releases

A non-opening hood on an R34 model should be a crime
I do not agree with your opinion on r34. Rating 5/10 is too harsh for this model !!!!
This model deserves average rating. It is not bad at all, but far from perfection. Good starting point for new collectors.
