The standard laggy 1000hp build running less boost by the looks. Dude needs some good tires too. Both my mate and I have 800whp cars, me in a Supra, him in a 33GTR. We both run 9's. Ours are anything but laggy, 300kw by 3000rpm. Theres no waiting for boost anywhere between 3000 and 8500rpm.
Both of these gems just looked savage running down that track. The respect for both is just on another level. But Godzilla just rockets off of the line. It is so ruthless

That's because these two hold all kinds of import world records. 15 quickest imports in the world all have the 2JZ. It is the king of all imports and the VR38 and RB26 are the queens - the only imports in the 5s and low 6s. No other imports (including all Euros) come close. 😏

That Supra is gorgeous. I love both cars but man, Bayside Blue ftw. Also, someone needs to build out a GS 300 AWD or give a Supra or IS300 AWD lol, its always gonna have a huge advantage in a drag race/straight line, or even around a track really. RWD or heavily biased AWD is just fun lol.

As a GTR guy who has respect for both of those platforms, I have to come in to the Supra driver's defense, he just didn't have aggressiveness the GTR driver did... all of those races could have been much closer and the Supra should have won the roll race easy.

@@crisalcantara7671 Car doesn't need to rev'd up that high even just 2-3,000 rpm is enough to avoid turbo lag. Also, my 2001 svt cobra maxes out at 8,000 so not many cars even go that high. Redline starts at about 6,750. No this car is not turbo charged but my 2015 Ford Fusion is.

I've owned a few Skylines over the years but I'm always surprised how good the Supra chassis can put down huge power. Toyota got it right with the Mk4. There's no way any of mine would have that much straight line grip without dragging the fuel tank on the ground

Modern tech has meant cars with 2 litre engines can produce huge power from factory and through mods , back in early 90s like 91 ,92 sapphire cosworths were hitting 180-190 mph with mods , with out the tech we have now.
You do realize that displacement sometimes has nothing to do with an engine's physical size or weight? Vipers had pushrod engines thats why they had a low horsepower rating compared to their displacement. Had they gone with the DOHC route, they would have to put a much smaller displacement engine in the car, losing low end torque (and power). It would have also made the car more expensive to build.
Man even with that Supra being modded that’s a slow quarter mile, a fiero that’s swapped can do it in 9 seconds, and a mopar can do about 10 seconds with mods on a 318 v8 lol

I've owned a few Skylines over the years but I'm always surprised how good the Supra chassis can put down huge power. Toyota got it right with the Mk4. There's no way any of mine would have that much straight line grip without dragging the fuel tank on the ground

You absolutely cannot watch this without smiling about how hard Affi sent this R34. This is what I came to see.
The 90s where good automotive years..the F1 McLaren ruled without confusion or competition..Japanese cars where truly magic..air cooled 911's and M3's , I'll say no more..and here in the USA we had ..um.. oh I know Vipers looked awsome from a distance and made 450hp with an 8.0 L...could you picture a new AMG with 225hp 4-liter😬
Modern tech has meant cars with 2 litre engines can produce huge power from factory and through mods , back in early 90s like 91 ,92 sapphire cosworths were hitting 180-190 mph with mods , with out the tech we have now.
You do realize that displacement sometimes has nothing to do with an engine's physical size or weight? Vipers had pushrod engines thats why they had a low horsepower rating compared to their displacement. Had they gone with the DOHC route, they would have to put a much smaller displacement engine in the car, losing low end torque (and power). It would have also made the car more expensive to build.

Man even with that Supra being modded that’s a slow quarter mile, a fiero that’s swapped can do it in 9 seconds, and a mopar can do about 10 seconds with mods on a 318 v8 lol
