@@curedanxiety1679 yes, but in the rolling race, the supra should be faster. There is the option, the gtr has more power than 800hp, or the supra has less power than 900hp. Or it's a bad tune supra with 900hp.
Jamie… PLEASE get in touch with Darren and his sequential R33 GTR… if he sends it I believe he could upset a lot of cars on that leaderboard… plus I’ve watched that video of your review about a 1000 times and he was tame with it.

Both my mate and I have 800whp cars, me in a Supra, him in a 33GTR. We both run 9's.
Ours are anything but laggy, 300kw by 3000rpm. Theres no waiting for boost anywhere between 3000 and 8500rpm.

Agreed, the 2 LEGEND inline 6's are more siblings than rival cousins. These 30+ year old platforms are still better than most modern vehicles. There will never be a car that looks or sounds better than either 1. Godzilla And Kong 4eva! Just think 30+years later still 2 most sought after cars ever. No1 will care 30 years later about the current modern garbage around today.

That Supra is gorgeous. I love both cars but man, Bayside Blue ftw. Also, someone needs to build out a GS 300 AWD or give a Supra or IS300 AWD lol, its always gonna have a huge advantage in a drag race/straight line, or even around a track really. RWD or heavily biased AWD is just fun lol.

Even before watching this I know GTR would have the edge because of the awd… that Supra should’ve had full blown slicks to make it interesting.
Couldn’t agree more , while I love the R34 and it’s legacy, if the Supra had AWD like the R34, the outcome could be very different
It was on crazy semi slick for a street car race it os exatly a good race both are street cars and gtr have more weight and less power plus supra have a better gear ratio and more torque

The gtr driver was very confident and he actually enjoyed pushing it to the limit however the supra driver was more cautious but the gtr was a beast, it was also funny how the supra driver kept looking at his rev meter

When you rev up the engine prior to take off you dont have turbo lag.
@@WheresWaldo05so you mean reffing it and Holding it maybe about 8k rpm so the boost is builded up and when you slam it into 1st gear the builded boost does lag cause it's already buided up🤔,please correct me if I'm wrong😊
@@crisalcantara7671 Car doesn't need to rev'd up that high even just 2-3,000 rpm is enough to avoid turbo lag.
Also, my 2001 svt cobra maxes out at 8,000 so not many cars even go that high. Redline starts at about 6,750.
No this car is not turbo charged but my 2015 Ford Fusion is.

As a GTR guy who has respect for both of those platforms, I have to come in to the Supra driver's defense, he just didn't have aggressiveness the GTR driver did... all of those races could have been much closer and the Supra should have won the roll race easy.
