You go thru miles of reruns of classics Belle St Marys, It's a Wonderful Life etc etc then suddenly upon a seemingly lost absolute albeit forgotten work of art. Every detail script, timing, ... handled more in cinematic art form...a rare gem among the heap of war films ..I give it 6.5 out of possible 5 stars

This one in its own particular of fluidity, in getting the point across.
Enjoyable in direction and the actors are solid in carrying the film across.
    The "innuendos "are superb. lol....
Seeing how the "Hays Code " went into effect in 1938.
But this film, Dramedy, with the concurrent issues of concern in 1943.
    It's a wonderfully produced docudrama.
Which still to this day, makes me feel if these arguements might be still held up
    in the Supreme Court?

Men are men and women are women - no we must stand up for what is right and when people say what is evil is good, and what is good is evil and try and pervert the law and say a woman is a man and vice versa... This film states it very clearly.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. This would be, to me, a required film for those in government class to watch and discuss of what our ancestors fought for and immigrated here.
Everybody became one unit of citizens to represent this country. (Sure, we maintained our heritage and it should never be forgotten).
I just wish most would not encourage the INDIFFERENCE as mentioned in the film. We, the people, nd to make sure our country continues to be successful for the greater good for all.
Don't vote because of one's race, being a celebrity or due to their sexuality (to name a few items) but because they support why we voted them into power. They are there to represent us citizens and fight for me and you.
Otherwise, we could be homeless and without these United States of America! 🇺🇸
    For our needs

I love how he carries a rifle around town like it wasn't anything. Back in the 30s you could do it. How you can do it when I was a kid in a small town I come from.

I know someone picked up the carrying of a shotgun around town & especially in the courtroom. The bit about everyone having secrets is very true also, just takes a little digging.

I can't believe this level of corruption in a small town. Imagine NYC or Chicago.

Great movie. That was the time when the Supreme Court meant something. Today we have Supreme Court Judges who were appointed by a Convicted Felon and that makes me furious and sad for our country.

THE IDEALS PROJECTED IN THIS KIND OF MOVIES REFLECT THE VALUES WE MOST TRY TO CONQUIST BY HUMANITY. WE LOST THE COURAGE AND REAL MEANINGS OF LIFE.
