- Virginia vs. Miami: The Miami Hurricanes defeated the 20th ranked Virginia Cavaliers 17-9 to get their first ACC win of the season. The Miami defense had five sacks and despite Virginia getting inside the Canes 25 yard line six times, the Hurricanes held them to just three field goals. Starting at quarterback, N'Kosi Perry was 16-27 for 182 yards and two total touchdowns. Running back Deejay Dallas went for 77 total yards and a touchdown. Virginia quarterback Bryce Perkins was 24-41 for 244 passing yards and rand for another 27 yards.

I just have to accept the OL is going to be a glaring weakness for a minute, so this win was actually impressive. Gritty, tough, making plays when it matters. Great win for the kids confidence.

Hey ACC find new refs how does A. Carter get ejected for targeting but the player that hit N'kosi last week for Virginia tech doesn't. Also what happened to the highlight of Mike Harley getting hit helmet to helmet, the Virginia player not getting ejected 🤷🏾♂️

@@priestervisionllc239 Of course always the refs see everything we do but go blind when our opponents do the same. It's gotten so bad I've basically just stopped even talking about it. Anytime Miami is on the field just go ahead and account for a few calls that make no sense against us and for them to completely miss a few that'd be in out favor.

@@raysschoko Right there was really nothing Amari could do. I'm all for protecting the receiver but at the same time it's gotten to a point where good defensive pursuit is being punished. And then I don't know wtf happened after that where he was still on the field and they threw another flag on him.

Go Canes. A lot of improvement from the defense, but on offense the cannot have so many empty posessions. We must turn those into touchdowns. Other than that we did good for the most part.

How exactly is he the man? I realize this offensive line is the worst in college football but N'Kosi was Avg at best. Most of his yards came on screen passes. The best thing he did was not commit any TO's.

The play call at 11:25 was baffling to me. A pitch play on 3rd and 1 to the short side of the field. This is what we had to deal with as Canes fans with Dan Enos calling plays.

I’ve been noticing, a lot of ACC teams have had whiteout games at home recently. VT, NCST, and Miami are some examples

The game is violent by nature and in that split second the safety cannot get any lower or reposition himself because the wr is already bracing after the catch so his head is exposed. The game is violent. That’s why if they get to pro level, they make millions
Its a shame because on the replay you can clearly see him turning his body to go in first with the shoulder but at that speed there is not enough time, plus the offensive player lowers his head. The announcers even said they same he turned his shoulder in.
Tone yea and that’s why you can’t try to control helmet to helmet contact. The defensive player can’t react fast enough if he’s in correct position during catch. There penalizing a natural dynamic of the game and it’s wrong. It sucks that people get cte yea but you just can’t stop that kinda play.

Great job and the Oline looked much better. A lot of the pressures were on the backs. No complaints. Great team win. We needed a win.

Very happy we finally got a win over a real division 1 team this season but still so many glaring weaknesses on both sides of the ball with this team. We still need a QB, head coach, offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator and more playmakers on offense and defense. Disciplined players who don't make stupid mistakes would be a plus but at least we might actually have a kicker now who can make FG's and XP's.
