I think about that a lot! I've spent a lot of time theorizing that virtual animal husbandry must tap into the same part of the brain that is stimulated by actual animal husbandry. There's a reason why we have so many selective breeds of different animals.. humans love to have breeding programs!

The description for this video is a delight! Also, I never could get myself into breeding on FR. I'm curious if you ever spent any time on Ovipets? that was the one breeding sim I can think of that I thought was cool.

It is lovely with how many lineart variant there are, sadly they use the same RGB value mixing method that's been used since Wajas, so basically everything comes out dull-brown unless you create a bunch of identically colored pets and purebreed them. I don't feel it has much lasting value, especially as there's nothing to do except breeding.
@@greengrendel I enjoyed ovipets for a good while! There's definitely nothing to do besides breed, but I thought the dominance hierarchy of different traits was really fun. All my stock got hard-deleted because I didn't check in for 6 months or something like that, so I don't have a lot of reason to go back, but I really enjoyed crossing stock with great colors to stock with mutations I wanted and refining through selective breeding. I was sad no one else on the site seemed to be into that though.
The breeding aspect is what made me fall in love with FR and breeding projects are always fun, especially when u prioritize rare genes and breeds for your lair, its a fun struggle mind game, and reminiscing on older ancestor dragons that were once so dear to u always brings me joy. And when u love like 3 ancient breeds on top of modern ones, a lair can become quite crowded lol
You have been tempting me to get into Flight Rising for years.. but I must resist! I already play too many games that take up too much of my time, I can't add more! haha. Maybe in the future some day : )
