Conflict was not complex at all. The Yugoslav wars have a linear historical pattern. It started with Serbian forces, who literally owned the Yugoslav army, attaching Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and inevitably Kosovo. Serbia being the aggressor in all instances.

Some of the Serbs sold their land for quite a bit of cash and lived like royalty later on in Serbia/Serbia&Montenegro where all the other Serbs lived hard times but that is a long story. Other people just ran away and still have their land down there but it is a tuff situation for them if they want to return. They are challenged by many factors. First do we have the tribal Kosovar Albanians that show no mercy. God watches us all.

Look all the ammo that they carried, 6 months later, they had to load that same amount of ammo back in to the helicopters, and back to England, cause they didn't fire a single round:)

ivo Pet That is the most successful mission of any soldier, not to kill and not to have to use his/her weapon in anger. However I was there in 1999 and there where issues and minor resistance on the advance in to Pristina from some separatist Serb groups. All in all better than Iraq!

So NATO unilaterally detached Kosovo from Serbia and is now irate that Russia is detaching Crimea and the Donbas from Ukraine. Sauce for the goose and all that.
