Yeah, some mechanics are definitely more melee focused but range has their share as well. Two sides of the same coin. The Tempest boss is a nightmare for classes like Destro that aren't mobile in ST.
Welcome! The green fire is from an old warlock quest. It's purely visual and not functional. I think you can still get a tome for it if you like the way it looks.

It's insane how much so many of these add packs favor ranged dps. Man as a Frost DK I just can't get that close.
