Men tell their wives to quit their jobs because they don't need to worry about anything financially because apparently he will cover everything, but then want to complain about how much their wife spends on things. If you don't want them spending a lot of money on the things they want then let them make their own money and stop complaining
NTA. An unnecessary action deserves a necessary reaction. You get back the energy you put into the world. He was petty, she was petty. Seems like a justified reaction in my book, I would have done way more.
So much to unpack here. If he said for her to quit her job and he could support them, it's their money and not his money. If he gets stressed and gets upset about her spending "his" money, he was already upset about it and this just elevated it enough to cause the outburst. They already needed therapy. Her 0-100 petty response is a bit over the top as well, so she's not blameless in this but there's no mistake that the husband is clearly the issue and needs individual counseling even if they don't do marriage counseling.
It's not at all over the top but justified. stop telling people off for reacting to hurtful things. As you mentioned, it's evident that it has been bothering him she was spending "his" money, more reason for her to be petty
@@annafitzpatrick5132 it does especially since she claims to be hosting weekly dinner parties and using quality ingredients. To host a dinner party the host is going to spend roughly the same as taking all the guests out to a cheap sit down restaurant.
You guys, grocery cost it depends on where you live. It’s completely justified that’s how much she’s spending. She also said she changed some thing so she likely changed the amount of the groceries. Come on , I know you guys are smart enough to figure that out 🧠
If your "friends" are offended when you have an open discussion about your feelings and their lack of support, then they aren't your friends.
If you have a house wife your money is there money you don’t get to control them financially if you are saving money talk about it

Over the top is she started not buying any groceries.
I love how you solved it I would’ve not met him to talk

No way you are getting quality ingredients and only shopping once a month and hosting weekly dinners.
I spend on average 250-300 on groceries. This amount seems fake
