Most people dont realize how much work goes into Recording the footage, Cutting the footage down, having not only knowledge of, but access to ALL the Memes, Rotoscope the Shit out of so many of them and add some specific ones for good measure and then have the knowledge and understanding of Comedic Timing, pacing and Flow of a Video. The reason why people keep shredding you earlier with King might also be because King is a super popular character, so people learn much faster how to deal with King Kuma on the other hand is fairly rare.

This is the king content I needed. The hilarious edits, the lil majin edits, and your opinions on king and saying he is a difficult character. And I love how goofy you play king. It's something I always try to do but fail. Anyway, I had a blast watching this video, so you earned a sub. Also playing with a freaking nintendo switch controller is so impressive and cool.
High level King player here, to answer your question about what controller to use, it's entirely up to you. The best controller is always going to be what you're most comfortable with. As for King, at low levels he's a scrub stomper. You can get away with abusing grabs cause most people aren't going to break them. At higher levels though you have to play mind games with your opponent and open them up for grabs. Raw grabs will probably be broken most of the time. One you can get away with at every level except the highest ranks is point blank shining wizard ➡️➡️➡️2+4. Buffering grabs out of strings is also important but for the most part poking your opponent to create openings for grabs is what you wanna go for. The longer chain grabs will usually be broken by higher level opponents but they have alternate routes that do less damage but are less likely to be broken because they expect you to go for the damage.
I haven't clicked on a video so fast in my life. When I saw your post, and the fact that you did one with my crush King ... Oh HELLL YA. The editing on this one was absolutely epic. The Azucena beaver shot is priceless, and the chef's kiss goes on the final one with the air horn LMAO. For the same reasons you said King was hard to play, I hesitate to even try. I downloaded the demo, and tried some of the into practice moves to get the basics, but I got to a point pretty quickly where I tried to do something pretty basic (I'm sure), and the feedback was either wrong buttons or too slow too slow. Since I couldn't even get past that point, I figure I'll just hunt out the good King players and live vicariously through them making him look good in game. Seriously though, thanks for putting this video together. It made my weekend!
I remember being so happy when I learned you were going to make videos on Tekken 8. This sequel did not disappoint! Hope this becomes a pretty regular series. As for King's difficulty, he's quite easy for experienced players, but he's tricky for someone who's more on the beginner side. Some of his best (and tbh, most fun to pull) grab are hard to input, especially for someone not as invested in fighting game. But the worst part isn't about your inputs. It's about knowing when to use your grab. If you don't lab moments when you are allowed to do a grab, most of the time your opponent will just not respect it and launch you anyway without giving a damn. King forces you to learn setups and knowledge about frame etc, which can be hard for someone who starts the game with him. Although you can also play him completely braindead and just spam his powercrush, jaguar sprint, hopkick and heat smash but you're not playing him at this point lol, just abusing stuff people don't know how to deal with.
This video was a masterpiece and I definitely hear you on forgetting combos 😂 I spend weeks learning a character which makes me not want to learn anyone else since it takes so long
I'm actually impressed you can buffer giant swing from a 1 jab USING A SWITCH CONTROLLER. I myself struggled with giant swings which is why I preferred Armor King back in T7 because you can skip some part of the motion. Either way I'd be looking forward to your next videos man good stuff. Play whichever character you like I'm sure you'd be able to make a great video out of it
Great video! My experience of tekken is from the fifth one, but I feel like even from back then king used to be this slow and powerful with difficult to execute move set like jack which could easily be countered by moving faster and smarter. Happy to see that you got around those weaknesses.
This was hilarious and super insightful towards the end! I have yet to not pick Lee in ranked matches, but seeing this and hearing how you had a rough time sometimes either pulling off moves or going on losing streaks is pretty eye opening. Definite sub and guaranteed to watch more. Keep it up!
