I saw a pair of truck nuts on the road the other day...and I was inspired to look into their story...and oh boy...it's alot more than i asked for!
This video is not meant to slander the name of David Hamm, John Saller, Yournutz/BullsBalls or others involved. There was a guy in my hometown who had painted his car to have Pac Man and the ghosts on it. It had yellow truck nuts with a blue vein. It was the first time I truly witnessed art.

In high school we thought it was funny to castrate one of the pickups in the parking lot. Unfortunately our victim and unknown to us he had his nuts given to him by a student who passed away. He told the principal on us. Resolving the dispute was highly emotional and insanely awkward conflict. One of the most ridiculous situations I have ever found myself in.

I’ve lived in Texas my whole life , I remember the first time I almost got into a car accident was with a huge pickup truck sporting truck nuts violently swerving in front of me to avoid a small plastic grocery bag on the road. After that you couldn’t convince me that anyone with these bad boys swanging off the back was a responsible driver. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve seen them again, but that’s what happens when you live in Austin lol.
Late 2000s through early 2010s these things were practically everywhere in the roads.

I live in Alabama, used to see them almost constantly in the late 2000's and 2010's.
The fact that someone out there made low-poly nuts for the cybertruck leads me to believe that the day we have space travel as part of our routine, cosmic truck nuts will become a thing.

What makes this story so legendary for me is that this is such a hyper specific brand of southern America that you can vividly imagine the country accents on the both of them and their quotes and how they sounded fighting the entire time. It's so stupid and ridiculous that you just KNOW it's true, and that's what makes it fantastic

My friends dad had a suit of armor in his living room, with trucks nuts dangling as armor nuts. One day his little granddaughter ran up and tried to get them and that was the end of those. The way to make them more classy is get rid of them lol

Where I live, 98% of the knuckle dragging hillbillies have these on all of their vehicles. I even saw them on a mower once. The brass ones seem to be the most popular.

It was the shaved-head wraparound sunglasses guys driving pavement princess diesel pickups that they put an impractical lift on (who does that to a crew cab, seriously?) with aftermarket wheels and tires that don't fit right. $80k rolling mortgage embarrassments driven by lower management types trying to look tough during their midlife crisis.

Those always confused the heck out of me when I was a kid! I thought I recognized Calvin from the comics, but I could not figure out what he had to do with Christianity or peeing on stuff, so then I wondered if it was actually him.
