How to Disconnect a Dishwasher

At first when you try to disconnect a dishwasher, it seems a very scary job. But, if you'd know exactly what hose belongs to what pipe and its functions, then you'll find it really easy to remove the dishwasher. I've made this video to guide you step by step to disconnect a dishwasher.
At the back of the dishwasher, there are 2 hoses. One is for the inlet water and the other for the waste hose or outlet water. Before starting, first unplug the dishwasher from the power socket. Usually the hoses are located under the sink or near the sink cabinet. Then, you could easily remove the waste hose by pulling it from the waste pipe. Just make sure to have a bucket ready to empty the water after removing to avoid any spillovers. Since the waste pipe opening is left open, when you open water tap, water could flow from this opening and make under the sink completely wet!
To remove the water inlet, you'd need to first close the inlet valve by turning the valve handle in the perpendicular direction to the flow. Then, use a high grip glove to open the water inlet hose by turning the head anti-clockwise direction using a high grip glove. And then drain any water. You could also close the opening by using a 22 mm or 3/4 inch End cap. Job done! Now, you can move your dishwasher away for renovation or to change to a new one. All the best!
