DO NOT PURCHASE!! If you are looking for a gaming laptop that fits all your needs (Gaming, studies, etc...), please back away from Eluktronics. 4 Years ago, I purchased the Mag-15. For the entirety of those 4 years, I respected the laptop and never exceeded any of the performance limits. Fast forward to now, and the motherboard is FRIED. It happened while I was working on a simple Microsoft Word document. This laptop should've lasted way longer. If you are looking for a reliable laptop that will last, THIS IS NOT IT. After extensive communication with the support team, apparently, the laptop is not fixable and they can't supply me with a new laptop. That's $2,000 down the drain as a college student who needs a laptop for studies. Spend your money elsewhere.
What the hell are you talking about? The 4070m is an excellent GPU, you won't find better performance for the price. Of course, it is a mid range class of GPU, but it sits at the top of its class in the mid range segment. The 4080 and 4090 laptop gpus are faster, without a doubt, but considering how much more you'll be paying for the bigger GPU it's probably not worth the extra 20 percent-ish performance gain, unless you have money to burn. I bought the RP-15 G2 in Feb, upgraded from a 2070S laptop, and even though my old one ran well, this new one exceeded my expectations by miles! It's even able to run at it's max wattage without throttling, which is damned impressive because I've never seen a gaming laptop do that. In short though, the 4070 isn't a scam, either you're talking out of your ass or you don't know how to properly run your system. Don't make me go all fanboy dude

According to Jarrod's tech testing 4080M is 68% faster than 4070M. 4070M has less cores and HALF the memory bus compared to 3070M released two years before it, and has the same video memory amount as laptop 1070 released *7 years* prior to release of 4070M(or the same as desktop 3050 for a comparison). And the only reason it's "good value" is because almost nobody wanted to buy it. Initially, it cost more than 3070 ti laptops, which were very close to desktop 3070 ti in specifications and were much more honestly-named. 4070M is in fact a low end GPU that's named(and initially priced ) like a much higher end GPU. It's a scam and there is absolutely no reason to defend it. "runs without throttling" was that a joke? Temperatures depend on quality of cooling systems of individual laptops. There were laptops years ago with 200 watt 2080 super and GTX 1080 which didn't throttle either. It's in fact a scam because it has nothing to do with the desktop 4070. It has the same specs as 4060 ti, a much worse GPU.

Throttling has almost nothing to do with a GPU, but with a cooling system and the power limit set by the laptop manufacturer. In fact, the bigger the GPU is, the easier it is for the cooling system to dissipate certain amount of heat. 5. The only reason some 4070m laptops now have good value is because it didn't sell well at first. Initially, they wanted to sell it for the same price as desktop 4070, hence the name. But they had to drop the prices because it's a low end GPU.
I'm no lover of Nvidia. I think they're a scummy company. But you really need to do some research about the 4070 mobile GPU before just saying it's terrible and a scam. It segmented properly within the Laptop price to performance market. It wasn't at launch, it was overpriced. But now its much cheaper and where it should be. Again, your statement seems to come from a place of frustration or Nvidia hate and not actual reality.

I hope a Max 17 comes out too. Not trying to hate but those new water builds are the least exciting thing I've ever seen added to laptops. The last thing I want near my laptop is water... hope this gimmick dies real quick
While I agree a new Max-17 would be great to see, I'd personally want to see the liquid cooling on it as well. I think you have the wrong idea about the liquid cooling. It's not necessary on any of the laptops, they all get excellent performance without it. It's also been proven safe for a few years now, as it requires distilled water which is not a good conductor of electricity.

It's fully functional and has been for years now. Wherever you read "make sure the back screws are tight" was from someone who's never used one of these coolers. You don't have screws involved in the liquid cooler. I've used all three versions of it and there aren't screws involved in securing any of them. Lastly, they explicitly want you to use distilled water. Distilled water isn't a good conductor of electricity and is generally pretty safe around electronics.

i also have an eluktronics laptop and i cant even run games on it without the laptop crashing within 5 minutes
