They were introduced to many of us on season 9 of Rupaul’s Drag Race where she brought us nonstop drama in Untucked, came back for All Stars 3 where yes they really did jump from there, and have since given up the drag person to concentrate more on their creative ventures as an artist such as their new song 21 Roads. Their name is Aja and they’re about to be exposed.
#Aja #Rupaul #DragRace
"Mami, everything causes cancer, *this* conversation is causing cancer". Iconic
“I wish I would have went off more. People had a bad attitude. They deserved it.” Fucking love you Aja!
Right, I bet she really was over it lol.
Aww glad she finally gets to talk papi chulo.
I love Aja... i remember turning 21 and getting some courage to see them at a meet and greet. Aja could just read it on my face and the first thing they said was "don't be nervous, baby. you are SO cute." like no shit, this is such a nice person. made me feel so good and welcomed just by being near them
That is so sweet, yass Aja!
" i dont give a fuck what America saw,They saw what they got delivered to them. I saw everything" - Aja... yep tell them Aja!
“This conversation is causing cancer” my new answer to anything.
glad we all agree that disco challenge on AS3 was horrible
Girl, not as horrible as the one in Season 13!
She should have won🌚
Season 13 disco was trash & I was mad because I love that era of music smh
Aja shouldn’t have gone home. TBH kennedy should’ve gone home then and aja shoulda made top 4 for real.
It was worse on season 13
god, when aja brought up chi chi i was not ready. i think i keep forgetting she’s passed and i don’t want to believe it.
also i never realized that the eliminated queens just...wait around. and are STILL basically in quarantine like they’re still competing?? that’s ridiculous!
I don’t think it’s usually like that. It was because of that story line they had in season 3
AS3 had a JURY, similar to reality shows like “Survivor”, “Big Brother”, etc if you need the contestants to partake in a future episode, for makeover challenges, returning back into the competition, COVID-19, etc It’s in your best interest/cheaper to pay them to hang around in the accommodations that you are renting than trying to get a hold of everyone later.
Exceptions might be made for local Queens (Jasmine Masters, etc). Queens are contractually obligated to return for the Reunion; which is filmed after the Finale, but airs first, for finale rehearsals, because time is money and people showing up late becomes closely.
I'm sending nothing but pure light to Aja.
😊 thank you! 🧡
And AJA deserves it 100 % ,
Lovvveee them
So authentic, the realness in interviews is what I live for
I love Aja beyond a point that makes any logical sense. I can’t explain it and I don’t try.
It’s mutual boo!
100% accurate.
Love & adoration don't have to make sense. The heart knows what it wants.
It's simple - I love Aja - no questions😻
She's such an amazing soul and so free with her energy she gives us.
Same
@@AJAMIYAKEMUGLER I absolutely LOVE how outspoken and REAL you are. When you are REAL people don't know how to take you because most people are fake. I'm the exact same way and I speak my mind no matter who it is. Most people can't deal with me but oh well, they'll get over it! Keep doin' you boo!
Okay but this quarantine bleach moment. I'm into it.
Love Aja!
This interview is so chaotic and i love it.
Omg stop thank you Kat. I am a big fan of you and everything you stand for. 🧡
I'm a fan of Kat❤️
KAT
Hi Kat! You’re amazing!!
We stan Aja in this household👑
Aja is immensely talented. I also see a big struggle going on there too. Let's hope things get figured out so that this artist can thrive creatively and financially.
Aja is just Aja. Whatever gender/race/entity they are, they just are THAT! One of the people that truly just IS and isn't in ANY boxes! I love and respect them for that! I'm almost 60 and it's taken me a while to understand this, and they definitely have helped me come around! I wish them the best of luck and success always!
So well said. I love that post.
@@househeadericmdhousehead9118 I admit it took me a while to get to this point, but I'm glad I'm just letting people exist and not analyzing anymore..... Not my business. Since I realized this, I have met so many wonderful people and made incredible friends!
@@jonathanrio6587 The fact you responded is so nice. I'm 54 and I have been in love with this show so much but not always the Fandom or Rupaul for that matter.
Aja could teach the world a thing or two. Good health and peace ☮️ to you.
Need more ppl like u ❤️
Aja is so fabulous - so pleased you interviewed them. They're one of the most interesting, talented and multi-layered to come out of DR. They're also such an old soul, I feel like they're my warm and wise old auntie (but with OnlyFans lol) - they have such unique energy :) - forgot to add; if you're a fan, Aja also had a really great interview on 'Pepp Talks' a few months ago, its only available on Peppermint's Patreon but is def worth the watch.
that part when Aja was talking about the story about her and chichi during all stars made me miss chichi so much. 😩💕
" this turtle neck i am wearing is older than you" okay buy a new one? lwejflwkjhwjrhu. I LOVE AJA
Loved the part where Aja judged the season in their terms because I agree so hard.
Aja is strong now, but really got to question the psych eval and background checks that didn't pick up on the eating disorder, gender dysphoria and domestic violence, right before exposing them to a very vocal fandom. Sounds like the show was one giant trigger. Glad they survived it tbh 🙏
A lot of the queens probably hide that information purposely to make sure they get on the show. The evaluation can’t disqualify someone for information that’s not disclosed
They don't actually care they just want to make sure they're not going to be a liability
No one was in control of that but her. She is the only person responsible for that...
The background checks are more for the show.
Lets say a cast member randomly beats someone up they'll say, "well we sont know what happened they came out fine in the psych eval"
@@NettleAbsentmindedly so basically an insurance policy. Entertainment law is terrifying to me.
why am i not surprised that Aja did so much better on All Stars than was filmed because they really can shift the edit to make queens look better and for them to win but i know Aja killed that shit especially Snatch Game and the Ball
I always say Aja is cute, but with this color and that durag is giving me flamboyant papi😍 I love it
So great to see a full interview with Aja. Aja, your real fans love you and all of the art you create! Can’t wait to hear the new album ❤️
Aja deserved better on AS3. Like I felt like for sure they could've made top 4 at least. Like they honestly killed it.
She was better than bebe..ru kepet bebe to the end cause she was privous a winner and didnt want to ruin her image let be honest
@@luffyzoro1044
Yeah I felt that too. Like Bebe was talented, but she definitely got favoritism.
I enjoyed this interview and respect Aja for being Aja. I don't understand people that are critical and resort to name calling (meth head, etc) but, then again, just a fool's way of expression. I wish you continued happiness, Aja.
Joseph, thank you so much for this interview!!!! We are lucky to have your work!!! Xoxo 💗💖💝
I really love your interviews because as I live in a small city in France, I have not access to much more drag content than drag race. So thanks to your work, I get to know more about these queens than what has been shown to me 😊
"Cause you know, I don't give a fuck what America saw. America saw what was delivered to them. I saw everything."
"Where did all this nastiness come from." whew! that one HIT.
Aja has always been one of my faves from Drag Race. Aja is also such a fierce performer. Lastly, I'm happy that they feel more secure in their identity. I completely understand what they said about gender being on a spectrum. Aja is a beautiful example of that.
Incredible interview, thank you for sharing this with us.
NB Pride - I loved this and needed it. I had no clue I could relate even more to Aja!!!1
Who the hell sends hate to reality show stars? Children? People who have no lives? Makes no sense
Yes, both.
it's madness eh. I'd like to think the majority of the hate messages come from people under the age of 18, 21 at a push. Imagine someone doing something on the telly that you didn't like - and obviously I'm talking about low level TV crimes - and firing off messages hoping people were dead, and extending that to their friends and family. Complete eejits.
@@spangol87 sadly I’ve seen people in their thirties and forties doing it.
@@lisamac1986 What a fucking sad life that is eh, unless you can lean on severe mental health conditions as the cause to cry hate.
It's so sad to hear about all the hate Aja endured from the Fandom, I lived Aja on season 9 and when they come back for all stars it only made me like them more
I’m 10 minutes in and I’m hooked. Aja is one of my favorite contestants and I’ve seen them live! Their personality is so magnetizing and they are so charismatic. It sounds like you’ve gone through so much and you come off so strong and champion like. Support you Aja and however you want to be ❤️✨ also this interview is great. Love the great questions and conversation as well as the interviewer ❤️❤️
Love Aja! So happy this interview exists🤍💕
Can't wait! I loved Aja since day one!
I feel like AJA looked pretty sad thought out this entire interview like there was a sadness behind the eyes
I noticed that too! I get that sad look when upset so it's easy to recognize in others.
I think she was just stoned lol
I related soo hard w having ptsd & a strong somewhat defensive & combative demeanor due to just being hurt & getting the upmost shit for standing up for my authentic self. It’s def hard! Sending her hugs & loves ❤️
@@IPOSTSHORTSSS riiight, yeah but also I do feel bad that she was going through it yet glad she's telling us now!
What are u talkin about?
My gurl Aja is stoned af honey . Weed is the only thing I see behing her eyes not sadness darling 😂
Love Aja - they are so far above the pettiness and drama, they are on another level. Sending you lots of love and light, Aja! ✨✨
I am late as fucking fuck but thank you for doing this. I actually loved Aja in season 9, I saw a strong spirit and I am a huge fan of their music. The editing was (and still IS ya’ll crazy drag race fans) purposeful! Every season has a “villain” and Aja got that casting. We love you baby stay fabulous Aja 😘
I absolutely love Aja and I’m so excited to hear their side of the story. They definitely should’ve come back after killing sitting on a secret!!
I love you so much Aja I always have since your day one of dragrace I really loved this interview and your story is a whole roller coaster and I love your music too and your lyrics especially in your newest song is a whole new side of you that I wanna keep listening and learning about this side of you keep putting out your art no matter what it is cause I’m here for it.!
Can we hope we GET NINA BONINA BROWN ON HERE!, we NEED THAT, also AJA BEING ON HERE WAS GREAT TOO!
OMG YES, WE NEED THAT
As soon as Aja said Bossy I said “oh so you a Capricorn” and then they say it 😭
hahahaha I relate to them and their capricorn-ness
Yes my moon is Capricorn and sun sign is an Ariel so I can related to them soo much. And a fellow non-binary here heey!!
I can’t wait for the album!!!! AS3 got me in love with Aja
This was a beautiful interview. Thank you, Joseph. Much love to Aja.😘
Wonderful interview. It's really refreshing to see someone being authentic. Thanks for being genuine, Aja. Can't wait to see what you create...
Aja is a very talented performer and entertainer. It is sad that Aja is rapidly fading into obscurity after such a powerful media presence. I hope there is a comeback-there’s a lot of talent, grit, and personality there.
Joseph being exhausted by this interview.... thee are A LOT of feelings
I love Aja. Hearing the amount of shit they got from this toxic ass fandom is truly awful. I really hope they are healing now.
I’ve always liked Aja. They are so relatable because they have always just been themselves. Thank you for this interview.
I'm so here for this interview and love my fellow new yorker Aja ❤️
They did not expect AJA to do as well as she did on AS3 so production was shook and had to water her run down. AJA stormed the girls and could have won and we all been knew. Period.
Glad we got to see more of aja. Love and support.
Being not just a fan of Amy Winehouse, but idolozing her to a scary point, i can tell you the Amy that Aja did was excellent ! And i usually hate the imitation that people do, wich are often vulgar and so far from what Amy IS ! Aja you are a real talented person! Sending you love from switzerland !😘
I'm LIVING for this interview from Aja!!! ❤
Your journey has been really eye opening. You're awesome, dont ever forget that Aja 💙💙
I love Aja, I'm glad they's still working on music
Yessss the full interview
aja is forever my favourite to hear interviewed
Very good interview! I always enjoyed Aja.
Very happy to hear Ajas journey in life before and after drag race. I have loved what Aja brought to the show as far as personality, creativity and just realness. And I loved hearing more. Also great a music artist. Just wanted to say i basically love Aja!! Lol thanks
I love Aja so much! I could listen to them speak for literally hours! So real and entertaining. I wish them nothing but the galaxy
Aja will always be my fav queen ... queen or not I will always ride for her whether she does drag or not she’s the same person and that’s why I’ve stuck with her for so long❤️ love you sm Aja
Wow great interview!
Aja is so iconic. Sending much love! 👏🏼❤️
amazing - thank youuuu
This video gave me a wonderful morning. I love the energy they release into the wold. I am having such a better day because of Aja.
So excited to watch this!
there came a point in time when I got the feeling they were about to quit drag but I think I was kinda glad it was gonna set them free in some way and allow them to explore themselves and focus more on whatever they wanted to
I love Aja. I'm so glad she said what she said. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that Soup Challenge was so fxcking stupid.
I just want aja to be happy, even when thwy say they don't care, you know it's all weighing on them everyday. Also they should've been the come back queen on allstars....
Wow. What an absolutely sincere individual. Much love, Aja
Aja's "Crystal Labeija" is my top pick for best rendition of a Snatch Game character. She looked just like her, but a bit prettier....imo
Aja,should have won for her portrayel of Amy whinehouse !!
NO her snatch should made her be on top
Thank you for sharing your journey with us, Aja. Respect & love.
Aja is incredible... They've created so much beautiful art in the name of Santeria and particularly Oshun. It makes my heart smile. 🌻💧
Edit: 50:30 _"What's your point, then maybe get a new one..."_ 🤣
OMG. Aja is my hero. They have been through some serious sh#t! We are all so lucky to have seen a dose of their talent. You rock Aja!! 💚💚💚
I burned my tongue on this tea
Thank you Aja. They are very eloquent and interesting to listen to. And thank you Joseph for showing RPDR fans the real people behind the TV personalities.
I love Joseph's interviews and finding out about all these queens that didn't get the time they deserved on the TV ❤️
I really appreciate Aja and everything Aja does as an artist. Please know there are people supporting you for who you are and what u do as an artist. Love from China
Fuck. Such a good interview! Aja is 👌🏽
And I love how Joseph just lets them talk. 👍🏽
This was a great episode 🔥
I love seeing people talk their experience after the show and it show that it very ridge and had change a lot after it hit mainstream.
This is really good interview! Aja is very interesting person. Sad to hear what RPDR made to her, she was getting safe/too young edit, but she was enterterning and talented💜
Amazing interview 🙏🏽
"I'm bout to rub one out before the gig..." I LOVE AJA'S HONESTY! Hahahaha
This was a great interview!
What an amazing interview and what an enchanting person!
You can feel the suffering though aja's talk about their past and path
Have always loved Aja from their season and will continue to support! L o v e the art! 🙌
This was pretty great!
Loved Aja before, now I love them even more! 💗
AMAZING interview. Subscribed affffff
This was actually a really refreshing interview! This was such a needed perspective on the journey that is self-expression, drag, gender, etc. Joseph, your mic is a little quiet on this video (I'm sure you know that by now). We wanna hear you, too! :)
i really really enjoy this interview, AJA is one of the kween that is "real" to me 💚
THAT STUPID FUCKING SOUP CAN AND THAT STUPID DISCO CHALLENGE!! AJA WAS FUCKING ROOOOOBBED!
great, great interview
love this interview omg💕✨ Josephhh will we ever be getting a Valentina Exposed Episode?🌹
Great interview! I do want to say that is important to pronounce names correctly as it is part of a person's identity. Because an artist puts somebody on the map by playing the character, does not exempt the artist from naming the person how they feel. The standard that we as a society are establishing on gender pronouns should be established with the same importance on people's names.
This is true! But also someone shouldn’t be berated and maybe simply corrected. But I totally understand! That’s kinda how I named myself aja lol because everyone kept saying it wrong 😂
Wow! Thank you for your response. I wasn't expecting it, lol! I agree. One should be kind in addressing corrections.
I love your artistry and I hope my commeny was not seen as jab. It was a great interview and keep doing you ^_^
