Being blind folded would be really intimidating. You can’t read body language and what not.
In comparison to equivalent video with girl lead, he was not trying. He was clearly judging by gender and so terrified of it that he barely made an effort. As girl put it "He was boring". If he was so nervous and worried about gender, he should not have signed up for this in the first place.
Because of his terror, he didn't really give them a chance to do anything. That short guy seemed like a good kisser in the other video. Here he was barely allowed to do anything or given a chance so obviously ended up being bad.
If you are to rate someone's kissing, you have to be just as proactive, otherwise it's pointless.

Just look at the way he kissed the women in comparison to the way he held back when kissing the guys. That's where my beef is. And it's not just him. Some of the other guys were pretty shit too!
The ladies had no problem kissing other ladies, even though they were heterosexual. And that's my point. They allowed themselves to completely go for it, secure enough in their sexuality to not let kissing an individual of the same gender threaten their identity or other people's perceptions of their identity. I commend Russ' and the other males efforts and encourage everyone to be courageous enough to explore and try new things. But my criticism lies with Cut here, because they should have vetted these guys better, for the sake of the production quality of the video.
These guys can experiment all they want to, with all the apprehension and trepidation in the world that they want, off camera. The irony is that they'd probably be less apprehensive when they're NOT being filmed. And that's all I was trying to say. Don't agree to jump out of your comfort zone for the VERY FIRST TIME on this particular subject, on camera, and then hold back. It doesn't make for a very great video in my opinion.
