Honestly he is so real. As someone who is like, stereotype level progressive, we all have prejudices pop up simply for living in such a unequal society. I think recognising that is very important, and also allows to empathise more with ppl who don't hold progressive views (not for justifying it; just to not dehumanise them).

yeah, as a bisexual, I really don't think that a straight man is prejudiced for being uncomfortable with the idea of kissing another man. Every lesbian I know is uncomfortable with the idea of kissing a man, and that's not prejudice.
I'm uncomfortable with the idea of kissing someone I'm not attracted to, like an old person or someone with really thin lips (I'm 22 so I think it's valid and natural to not want to kiss old people btw so don't call this ageism). Our bodies tell us not to interact sexually with people we're not attracted to.

A lot of respect to these men trying this for the first time. There is a lot of stigma we (queer people) face with this simple act alone. I love the beginning dialogue with the pairings: where to place hands, asking for consent, how they would move their heads, peck vs. tongue, kissing multiple times.
i completely agree! but it’s interesting to think, “do they ask where the girl would like him to put his hands?” etc. they went over it because it was so uncomfortable for them i think talking through it was more for selfish reasons than to tend to the other person but i just wonder if these men treat the women they’re with with the same amount of respect and ask all the same questions

So much respect for all these guys. I don't know why, but somehow I really feel like it didn't make them any "less straight". They actually showed how comfortable they are with their masculinity and that it has nothing to do with their sexuality. The biggest thing for me is that this whole video actually showed us that we can being affectionate with people from same sex/gender by doing skinship and even a kiss without making it sexual. Kiss can be just a way for us to show love or affection to someone regardless of their gender/sex and the kiss itself does not define our sexuality.
Of course it didn’t make them “less straight.” If any sexual action could change someone’s sexual orientation so easily, we’d all be either very sexually adventurous or very sexually cautious (well, some of us already are).

I'm just saying it to point out the fact that at the beginning some of them seem nervous and maybe one of the reasons is somewhere deep inside their minds they are afraid of what people might think about them doing that and some judgemental and narrow-minded people might actually say something like "that's so gay" and etc. But in my case, it's nothing like that at all. Well after all, just like what you said some of our actions even the one that we're doing without any sexual intention at all can be misinterpreted by others. Like me for example:
I’m bi/ pan. Filipina -American. My mom once asked me why I’ve never dated a Filipino Man.
I gave the following reasons:
1. Just because she hasn’t seen them doesn’t mean I haven’t dated/ or been interested in Filipino Men.
2. I have 5 older brothers, 4 older male cousins, uncles, and in-laws that are Filipino.
It’s not easy to be attracted to someone when the way they look or have certain traits, or similarities that reminds you of a close family member.
I examined my thoughts and feelings about where other attraction or repulsions that came up for me.
Sometimes it was because I was taught or picked up a prejudice from my environment, sometimes just lack of exposure to a trait or type of person reduced or increased the likelihood of attraction, sometimes it really is just an attraction or repulsion with no knowable reason or origin. Still I’m glad I took the time to ruminate on it because my field of eligibles is much wider than I thought it would be.

Kissing isn't always about sex. Especially as a woman, I've noticed with my boyfriend I sometimes had aversion to kiss him because it would insinuate I wanted to have sex when I didn't want that. A kiss is just nice at times, just like a hug, it doesn't have to be anything different from expressing love and appreciation towards someone.
