The Great Sir Lloyd Parkes, We The People Band. I had the pleasure of seeing him at Crystal Palace football ground, Reggae Sunfest, in 1980s with Dennis Brown, Leroy Sibbles, Aswad, Dean Fraser, and many others. I shall never forget, that day. Such a great, great day. Thank you Sir Lloyd Parkes, you have taken Reggae International, like Bob Marley, and I am forever grateful. You are The Greatest Bass Player. Thank you Teach Dem, for bringing us this great interview. 🎶🎶🎶💯💯💯🙏🏾🙏🏾🤴🏾🤴🏾🙌🙌🙌🙌
The great Lloyd Parks!! Totally loved this interview, saw him in 1974 in Bristol United Kingdom. I jumped on stage and managed to shake his hand,I was 19 at that time. Brilliant artist!!!!
First and foremost, lots of blessings to Mr parks for bringing us a lifetime of great music, lyrics, base guitar beats, it's just a real honor to see him in an interview, giving his life story, and journey through decades of reggae music,I always thought he owned the band, but was not the singer for (officially.)

Lloyd Parks and We the People. Many thanks Teach for linking and getting this icon's story documented. Again, this is not an ordinary musician: from his days with Joe Gibbs onwards, Lloyd Parks is one of the pioneers of the sound of our music. Hopefully, our relevant government authorities understand this and give him the recognition that's due.
D great Lloyd Parks. Long life. He gives respect, that's why he gets it in return. Some people must understand that respect is earned. Not demand. This man has and will always have my respect.
These great men music spread love and unity that surrounded and protected us. They not saying prayer to d devil. That's why d place is like this now. Full a d devil pickney.
Apart from Leroy Sibbles. Lloyd parks is the best bass player ever!. When I hear him play bass, my waist starts to "tune up". I grew up on his music and my favourite songs are Mafia, Officially and Baby hang up the phone. Listen to those choons, especially the 70's versions and if you love reggae, you will understand how much I love his basslines. Did not know he was the bass player for the album Double Barrell. I still have my late brother's copy and will look for his credit on the album sleeve. I love both his and Lloyd Charmers music Bad. Our classical music. Learned a lot in terms of additional music he contributed to. I hope he knows how much he is loved and how much we appreciate his talents.

I am fortunate to have seen this Legend live a few times backing Dennis Brown and a few others. His song "Stars" is one of my all time favorites. Lloyd Parks and the We the People band . Foundation music.
'Mafia' 'Offically' 'Slaving' 'Everybody Needs Love' 'Time Ah Go Dread' And so many more. Wentworth sang a tune called 'The Rainbow' for Studio One around 1972/1973 after Sir Lloyd Parks left the Termites to go solo and form the: We The People band, which would eventually support and back up the GREAT Dennis Brown whenever he toured the world. After D Brown toured Canada in 1979 after his top 10 hit with 'Money In My Pocket', it was Lloyd Parks and We The People band who backed him. This tour was filmed initially by video. Like Chronixx says in the second “I am a legend” I’m the percussionist playing with the wailer, my name wasn’t on the front of the paper” Mr Parks embodies that with all the many contributions he made. To play on all the tracks on the Dennis Brown album Inseparable is simply amazing - the entire album wicked.
