I had the opportunity to meet lots of women due to a certain job I had. In this job I had high visibility and the environment was basically a party situation. Looking back many years later it’s amazing how ‘fluid’ women could be within their committed relationships. I’m no expert but I would caution guys to be aware of those situations where she goes out without you. I was certainly no Adonis and it did not matter. I was simply able to present myself in a way that was attractive in the context. Good luck. I wish everyone the best in life.

I brought my daughter up in a Baptist church. I taught her about righteous living and the importance of chastity. Her mother went behind my back and spoiled her rotten. I forbade her from piercings and tattoos. I didn't allow boys in her bedroom. I found out years after the fact from my son that she would bring her boyfriend over when I was at work, and he'd bang her across the hallway from my son's room when she was 14! So, I'm in a Situationship for the first time in my life. She started dating me and then another guy about a month after I met her. We have both been smashing this girl. And I'm not leaving, not yet anyway. This is a weird one. I consider myself an 8 and she is 13 years younger than me. She was a professional dancer and now is a paralegal. I am not really attracted to her face but she has a great body. We also have a lot of chemistry and have a lot of fun together. Plus, it is the best sex of my life. Runner up is not even close. Thing is, she fell in love with me pretty fast. She wanted something serious from me and I can't give it to her. And she is at the age that she wants to settle down and have kids. I am going through a train wreck and don't want another one. And I told her. So she met this other guy who really liked her from the beginning. She tells me that she likes him but is in love with me. I've known about him the whole time. I made her tell him about me last week. He said he wants her and will continue to pursue her, despite the fact that she has been with me at the same time as with him this whole time. Yesterday, she decided that she wants to pursue him because I will not commit to her. But, I think she will be back. I'm also spinning plates. I gotta say that it's super weird for me though to be in this Situationship. I don't like the fact that she is with him. But I can't give up the sex with her and I don't want to commit to her. sounds like she made that other guy up, just to get you to take action. But if he is real, she will be telling him the same thing she tells you, that she loves him and only likes you etc. It happened to me a few times when i was younger, thank god i got away from those types of girls.

Even after she dumped him, about 2 weeks later, we started having sex again. We are like two magnets. It's crazy. Still there is friction. She wants me to commit to her and I am dating other women. I have the most fun with her, in and out of the bedroom. But I don't want another relationship. She wants to marry me and have a kid. I keep telling her that I will not do that. I think the problem with people today is that they have no patience. They date for a short time and don’t give the person a chance. If they don’t feel the spark right away they’re on to the next person right away. They need to slow down and take the time to really get to know someone. If it doesn’t work then you both move on.

I thought 'situation-ship' came from the covid times. When you couldn't travel much so you hooked up with whoever was back in your hometown. Covid was the 'situation ', now it seems like it's used as a noncommittal way to mark your territory.

I too thought situationship meant casually dating and not being committed. This seems more like a one-sided open relationship or an excuse to have a reverse harem. Nearly every woman has a reverse harem. Most mean wish they had a harem, but only ~5% of able to pull it off while any mildly attractive woman can pull it off. That dude is definitely incapable of pulling a harem, which caused him to cling to the flaky cheating hoe, which gave her the "ick" as the dumbass gen z say. But she likes him enough to keep as a back up option. Situationships can be great! I’m currently in 2 of them and have been in a couple others. Mine though, are when the woman is only dating me, but is aware that I’m not exclusive to them. A relationship is usually defined as when both people are exclusive. A friends with benefits usually doesn’t involve any dating activities. A situationship is a relationship without the exclusivity. Obviously, bad for the guy if it’s one way where only the woman isn’t exclusive (like in the example Rich is talking about), it can be fine if both aren’t exclusive and then they can be great if only the man isn’t exclusive.
Nah at this point I will dump a chick if she even brings up dates/ sleeping with other guys. If she's the type to be messing with other guys when you start dating, it will never stop, she'll just start hiding it. To be considered for relationship material, she has to say that she isn't dating anyone else while with you and she has to be the one to bring up the "what are we?" talk to kick things off. I think this is the best way to tell if she has genuine burning desire early on. I've seen the horror story that happens when you don't do this.
When she talks about a thing (spark) instead of doing the thing (build up/rekindle spark), that's it.
