Terrific video Guys! I’ve never been anywhere near Finland so it was really nice to get a feeling of all the beauty and wilderness that the country offers. Beautiful footage and music as always!
Thanks a lot Mark for the message ! You are right, in Europe Finland has this unique thing of being greatly wild on a very urbanized continent. It s a special place. But one need to enjoy silence! Haha
Loving your travels! I have pinpointed why I like your videos so much. You show so much of the Landscapes and vistas, along with beautiful camping spots and actual camping and cooking. I like your commentary, and it is fun to see you two having the adventures and narrating the trip. Mostly, it's the land and how it changes and the geology of the different areas. Awesome!
Finland sure looks like a place to see . I love kayaking and fishing so with all those lakes I’d be happy . What a great sets of drone shots and beautiful scenery along this rout you did . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :):)🍺😄
Thanks Steve! We met a lot of people slow traveling here in Finland enjoying the lakes and forests so if that what you like, here it’s very relaxing and a simplistic style of lifestyle.
Great publication. Could you please give me the link to your fishing magic gear shop 😁 La qualité des vidéos est de plus en plus top …vraiment inspirant!
Merci pour les encouragements ! Ca nous motive😃 Le magasin c’est jokiera.fi à Joensuu. Notre conseiller c’etait Tommi au cas ou, trop sympa et on a papoté pas mal voyage/defender.
Seen that you have hit the Alaskan Arctic ocean now - but I'm still catching up. This Finnish leg looks extra fun, maybe not the nicest eating fish to catch but a good skill to have to help over the next few years of travelling. Least it was fresh & free.
Finland is great for 4x4 and great campsites indeed. The fish was actually okay. But you are right, was not a trout! And as you say it was fresh and we knew where it came from! Thank you for taking the time to go back in time!
@@NextMeridianExpedition well now I see why YT was "pushing" your alaska travels to me - but wanted to start at the beginning and glad I did. Just watching Eva and Vilk and they have joined you. That should help your channel grow and fund the travels, get some tips from an expert. Not that I wasn't enjoying these earlier vids - and nice the YT algorithm is working for you with this collaboration.
Good question! We actually have a 1100km fuel tank which allows us to go quite a long way. We actually had a bit of an issue on that track because of unplanned detours and arrived tank almost empty at our gas station hahahaha
Beautiful scenery, it's interesting that the roads close to the North Pole are mostly dirt roads, I noticed that when you were driving in Alaska and Yukon Yukon aswell, nevertheless amazing beautiful world 💖
yes it is maybe impossible to maintain the roads when it is most of the trime covered in ice and snow and eventually it does not make much different to put on concret? Thank you Jewel for being around always !
Thankfully you didn't get stuck in the potholes/muddy roads🚌 how did you fill up with fuel, on 200 km stretch.... 💗fish, no reason to feel guilty, it's the cycle of life, delicious 🥰
May I ask a question please ? Do you have to carry many extra car parts with you as you travel to countries that may not provide service or parts for your vehicle ? What extra parts do you carry ? Great videos. Thank you. RS. Canada
Hi Richard! We do carry car parts, one of our biggest storage box is actually filled with those. Land Rover defender are not very common in North America so it has come handy. We have u jointe, break pads, filters, bearings, etc. We got support from our spare parts partner to take with us things that we can mostly change ourselves on the road. For the rest we would need support from a garage and therefor maybe get them shipped over. Luckily we can fix many things ourselves on the defender. We are not mechanics but learning on the road.
Merci oui c etait tres cool.
Fantastic guys! So happy you caught a fish with your first throw! 😅 Thank you for visiting and good luck to the rest of the journey!!
Hi Tommi ! We are so happy you saw the video. Thanks again for all your help. Take care and maybe see you somewhere one day ! 🥹🐟🇫🇮
All grown men turn into excited little boys when they catch their first fish. My son is 28 now and he still remembers his first catch.

Hello guys, nice trip. Nice video. Could you please tell which GPS you are using? Especially to find off-road tracks. Thanks
We have a video talking about the app we use. We use MapOut for off-road and in that RUclips video we show you how we use it.
@@NextMeridianExpedition OK. Actually I'm sorry. I had a look at only half of the video and saw you speak about MapOut later. Thanks
lijed and subbed...from Eva

We have a tank that can last us 1100km so even on off-road we are rather autonomous!
@@NextMeridianExpedition My little Kia goes for about 400 km....my old truck did about 700 km ...

Actually the fish is a pike, not a pike-perch and doesn't have minimum size =)
Thanks a lot ! We were learning on the spot! We will know now
As a fisher, I'm really glad you still cheked for the minimum size! Too often people don't do that. And thank you for the very entertaining video =)
Waw la Finlande a l'air vraiment cool ! Pas trop cher la vie sur place ?

@@NextMeridianExpedition yes merci pour le retour 👌
I don't know who advised you to deflate you tires on a perfectly normal dirt road??? Other than that I enjoyed your video, thanks !!!!
Hi, There’s no need. But our road went from gravel to mud to water crossings.
ptain c'est beau, la route avec tous les sapins
Oui très très cool
Where do you buy the flag stickers ?
Hey, bought them Overland Stickers on the UK
Didyou buy fishing permit ?
yes it is mandatory, we got it at the same fishing shop but I guess you could find them elsewhere
Trip to indonesia
We hope we can go one day. 😁
