  • With everything running perfectly to schedule, Lapalux had all the time in the world to take us through an emotional journey of his fragmented and textured soundscapes. Using an Abelton Push and Akai Mpd 32 setup, enabled him to trigger and manipulate epic live versions of his tracks into one smooth endless session.
Not fully anticipating the raw sub bass weight Stuart was about to unleash, we naively set up our cameras. Only to find that nowhere was safe from the sheer power of his kick!

Quit everything else and do this every day for hours and hours. I agree it’s infuriating

Set up loads of loop tracks, sort them by type (kicks, percussion, basslines, vocals etc), set up a few return tracks, map those return tracks to knobs and start making yourself proud!

Dakotah Rivers c mon..push is just a controler.. i bought one a months ago and it improve my abilty to produce a better stuff..its very handy, but definitely only just a part of the huge process.. lapalux is owner of some very expensive synths like dave smiths prophet, whis is a big deal in creating music.. lot of sounds in his tracks are coming right from this beautiful synth which is always better than using some loops available on eshops etc. ..and mostly he is a skiller. Lobe his stuff more than anything in this genre.. 👽

@@dakotahrivers6640 ableton push is a weird one, had mine for almost a year and nearly sold it before something finally clicked and I managed to implement it into my recording workflow.

4:58 one of my favorite beats. And I am a HUGE fan of Future Sound of London, Boards of Canada, Amon Tobin. But something about that beat I love it

He's a Master at blending genres and eras of music. I love how the bass shakes the cameras, brings us into the music even more. I'd love to be able to buy/download this mix. Lapalux fan for life!

Ah man I like this version of "Make Money" more! I always thought his tracks were a bit too short (You know you don't want them to end either), especially that one in particular, being under 2 minutes.

Just realised: he uses that "make money" sample on the recorded version, but here he uses Stevie Nicks sample "Dreams" also ("women they will come and they will go"). Reminds me of "f*ck b*tches make money".

It's always funny watching electronic producers destroying their songs live with silly sound effects. Stu is still a G tho, respect.
