cheers Phil, appreciate that. tbh we're happy with the community we have and shocked that even 1k people want to hear what we have to say every week. I'm sure we'll get there eventually though!
Putting fallkirk on the list to visit 😄 Great episode. and agian a little jealous at the drams you get to taste. Looking forward to the rest of the content.
Man, that appears to be one impressive setup. I can't wait to try some of their new liquid. May be a little bit of a wait. A couple of questions if I may be so bold. What is the closest current distilate you have tasted that is similar in style to Rosebank and out of blind curiosity did you actually buy all 3 bottles? Thanks again for taking us all along with you. I know I say that a lot but genuinely it is appreciated.
seriously impressive! I'd say it's really unlike anything - hard to draw a comparison to just one whisky. I'd say it's like a Clynelish meets a Craigellachie meets a Linkwood meets some heavenly spirit. I haven't purchased anything other than the new make yet but I'm getting a bulk order together from my clients so will be buying some in the coming weeks
@@TheWhiskyBaron mmmmm, heavenly spirit. The illusive ingredient. Not had a linkwood yet but I am a fan of the others you mentioned. I guess I'll just have to wait a few years for something more in my budget.
I've sampled a couple of the "Roses" releases and it is stunning liquid. Too bad it is all out of the price range of regular peasants like me, but good stuff nonetheless! Been on a few tastings with Gordon, what a great fella and Vikki seems like a great fit for the distillery. Can't wait too see what Rosebank puts out in 10-12 years.
Only ever tested Rosebank once. 21 YO special release, which I bought for a song at the time. Not opened and now really expensive to rebuy so hard to justify opening. Distillery looks fab.
22:05 Was such a great sentiment to hear from Jake - altough I am saddened at the same time, after I recently heard of the plans by Diageo to shut off the Port Ellen maltings to "outsider" distilleries.
I heard this too - unfortunately it's still a business so they have to take care of their needs first and foremost! we'll see what happens though. thanks for tuning in and getting involved Steve!
I may have missed it, but did Gordon mention the price on the distillery only 33 year old? Wonderful show and really enjoyed the chance to peak behind the curtains of Rosebank. Cheers!
Nice interview, most of us won’t be buying this brand, 12 yr cost 1k in Australia?????, 1k really , not for me . There are plenty of other options at a fraction of the price.
true, it is a premium brand with only rare offerings at present. it sounds like they plan to open it up to be a more accessible brand moving forwards though. I'd highly recommend visiting if you're ever over this side of the pond
I don't know why you don't have 10k subscribers already. Great content as always!

Gordon kindly provided the bottles for the episode, if money was no object I would be buying by several! 😂
And in terms of distillate, it’s quite unique being triple distilled and with worm tubs. Older AnCnoc is maybe the closest I can think of
@@IanBear1000 Thanks Ian, If only money did grow on trees I may have had a spending spree myself 😂😂😂

you have to open it Bob, it will be so worthwhile I assure you! have you stopped in at the distillery?
@TheWhiskyBaron no not yet maybe next year. Best not tell the wife though if i open it. She's seen what it's worth online!
@@bobsander4589 let us know if you crack it! one option is drink it whilst she's away and smash the bottle after to cover your tracks!
