I could not like him any more than i do. He’s outstanding. Him, Walken and Oldman. All fantastic. Amazing actors and genuinely likable, regular, relatable guys.

I'm legitimately disappointed he's not the first choice for anything. He doesn't just play crazy guys; he acts out characters who were considered taboo for their times; Paul Smecker being the most notable.
How has he NOT played the Joker?! Imagine him with the right makeup, right clothing, and saying something like, "Nice of you to say, Bats... but you of all people should know... there's plenty wrong with me."
I'm right there with you, other than his age being an issue. nothing against Jared Leto, but I think suicide squad joker would have been great for DaFoe.
His talent is wasted on banal shit like Batman.

Total blown away by WD’s honesty, frankness and candid no nonsense outlook. This is a guy who has walked the path, taken the knocks and grown better from it. A true actors actor.

Oh Jesus! Willem Defoe ALWAYS is my first choice since I saw STREETS OF FIRE, THE LOVELESS.
I love how you can tell he gets annoyed talking about his Green Goblin role, but yet he still embraces it like a professional. I respect him in so many aspects for not acting like a diva also being serious about every role even if it’s just a blockbuster.
I saw Dafoe Off Broadway in the play 'Idiot Savant' in 2009 and was dazzled by his huge, deep-set, expressive, bright blue eyes. None of his films capture the beauty of his eyes.
He is brilliant! Willem Dafoe was, is and will always be one of the best actors on this planet!

I'm not really interested in the Joker Character Heath was the best anyway but the role put him over the edge and he died. Willem was green goblin for Spiderman for all you comic book fans. His strangest role was Bobby Peru imo but I have not seen all 80 of his films either.

Everybody uses underrated like that. (Oh wait, maybe I should look up the word “everybody.”) When you get old, like me, you find that words take on the opposite meanings than the ones you thought they had. Like “literally.” Literally used to mean “literally.” Now it means “figuratively.” And the best part is you don’t have to pronounce any consonants save for the “Ls.”
