thanks for the tip on installing lights around the ventilation area what I did was take a sewing needle and push the fiber through the needle and send it all the way down
Thanks for the video! This answered soo many questions I had and couldn't find any where else!
Looks great. Getting ready to do my escalade headliner like this as well! Love it
great video, I will be doing my suburban soon... I will be using the 1000pc 16ft kit
How did it go
Thanks for doing this video. It was very helpful, especially the tips about how to get it in/out. I got the headliner out of my Escalade today. Going to start the lights tomorrow.
No problem bro good luck
@@srt_392__ I got it all installed. Very happy with the result. I will not do that again though, a lot more work that I was expecting.
@@daraiusgandevia3062 how's it working a year later?
@@daraiusgandevia3062 I also would like to know how it’s holding up
@daraiusgandevia3062 im here for the 3 year later update
Great job my man!!🤜🏾🤛🏾👍🏾
Amazing work
Looks awesome! Giving me ideas.
Rt same here... for sure I could stare at that for hours but when I attempt to take it out I’m gonna take my time and take pictures beforehand. This is a great video. Thank you. New subscriber
Cant believe u did 900 strands, wow!
This would be nice for a canopy bed.
Thank you for your video! I was planning to do that with an old suburban and thought, 350 fiber optics were enough. Now I will use two kits as well.
Just a tip for the remote. If you bridge both remote cables, you have always both kits in the same color.
Awe thanks for the tip. I plan to convert to the Bluetooth version and just use my phone
@@srt_392__ how much fabric did you need to do the whole headliner
What does bridging them mean?
@@kachoww5981 If both kits use the same sensor for the remote, both get the same signal from the sensor (I'm not sure if it works)
How did it go?, Getting ready to do a 85 suburban. It has a split headliner guess I'm gonna have to do two separate boxes
Good job came out good
❤ I have a NC tarheel blue Tahoe and was wanting to do this for my Uber riders
Really nice 👌🏽 I'm going to see if the wife doesn't notice a missing headliner lol, great video tutorial thanks 👊🏽
It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission
@@srt_392__ so where did you find the kits for this ....I want to get 2 that I can use the same remote for both ...I have a suburban and I'm either just going to do just 1st and 2nd row
@@durtysouthkustomz8862 link is in the video description
I remember when the kits first came out they were 80$
Thanks Bro! That's an amazing job and you answered all my questions for my 07 Suburban. Too bad you don't offer that as a service, that looked like so much work I had to go lay down, lol
Lol that’s why I don’t do it for anyone. So much labor. The local shop charges $1,100 to do it
@@srt_392__ where at, i will pay that
Waymon Weeams look up backyard interiors he’s the man
That's Hella clean
Thanks
So the power source coming from the box of the star lights you connected the red and black wire to the dome lights? Which means they turn on and off with the dome lights. But if you just want the stars on you can have them on without the domes ?
Yes your correct because somehow there is power always running thru those wires. I left it like that for about a month. I didn’t like it because if I didn’t turn them off manually then they would stay on for about 30-90 minutes until the computer (bcm) turned them off for me. So now I have them wired up to a ignition fuse and they turn on and off only when the key is in and turned to the on position
Great job, that is going to be my winter project on a 2013 Escalade Plat. Wish me luck, can you share the link where I can order the Swede material? Glad I saw this, I thought 450 kit was gonna be enough but def two kits is the way to go.
I got my suede from a local upholstery shop. You need 4 yards or less
How much would you charge to do the suede headliner with the lights ?
Look great can u separated the units for two colors r will they always work off one remote
You can set it up to do different colors, I just chose a uniform look.
Did the cars heater melt the fiber going thru the A/C section?
That’s fire
Thanks for the video, real good instructions.
I'm looking to do the same.
But can you tell me on how to measure how many lights you need in youre car?
My car is a 4 door golf gti, is 450 lights enough or do i need to put in like 500+?
G.THE. BILLIONAIRE hears my advice. You can’t have enough lights. If you can only afford 1 kit then buy the biggest kit you can. I think that is around 550-600. But if you can afford 2 kits do it. The effect of 1,000 lights is much better then 550, but 1 kit will still look good. You can see my challenger video and that has 460
@@srt_392__ i've seen all of youre headliner video's, the one in youre challenger looks good allready
I’m planning on doing this to my 2018 mustang. The idea of poking all of the holes through the headliner seems pretty straight forward, but I’m a little lost on where to get the power from if I want to hide the box in my trunk. Any suggestions? Also should I use a fuse when I am wiring?
Soooooooo you can look up on your favorite car forums and see which wire in the trunk turns on and off when your ignition is on. Tap into that wire and then ground the other wire from the light kit. Done. Or you can go to your local stereo shop and have them wire it for you and you can also route the unit to where it is best hidden in your trunk. The stereo shop should charge $20-$50 but you just got it professionally done and no need to worry
I'm about to subscribe I like your content
My guy lol
So did you cut the power supplying cable from the kit and connected positive and grounded negative to the dome lights ??

That’s the video you need
Clean as hell man!!! Great job. 👍 I don't have the patience for that how much you charge? Lol
Good job bro
How did u remove the back door pillars and trunk pillars im having trouble doing my esv !
i have rhe same escalade how much of lwnght did you ordered for the black suede?
What part of Maryland are you in bro? I'm in Gettysburg PA. Come down to Baltimore area for show's often. And of course Ocean City. This Covid shit has everything messed up man.Bummed out cruise week got canceled.
I’m in Cali. I wanna do a road trip one day tho lol
Sweet
Where you located at bro and how much do you charge?
I have a 17 Escalade and in want this but I also need the pillars and the seat belt holders blacked out also. I don’t want the roof black and the pillars tan ya know. Can y’all do that?
I have a 9.8ft kit, will that be long enough for my Escalade? I didn’t see how much extra slack you had left before you put the panels back together.
Idk man that seems kinda short but you can mock it up before buoy start glueing it in and see where you can place the motor
I got the same kit
That is DAMN Nice!!!
Aye 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Dope 👍😎
Dope
AbsoFUCKINGlutely incredible big homie!!!! Trying to get mines done tomorrow!!
How did it turn out bro
That's awesome man! I'm in the led business and have wondered how much a job like this would cost. Are you able to release that info?
Local places charge like 500-1000 here depending on complexity. None of them really do it correctly though, imo
How long was the fiber starlight?
Im still waiting for my kit to arrive gonna do it on my Audi a3 cant wait has the same contrast colors on the panels but im gone paint them black and get a black headliner gone look bad asf
Yes bro suede headliner is a must. And black panels and all it will look sick
What adhesive you use for the suede to stick to the headliner?
christian nguyen use the permatex headliner adhesive. That seems to work great for others. I had the headliner done at a upholstery shop. He has his glue in a metal spray can
We’re did you get the lights from?
Hows it holding up with the optics running through the top vents ?
Actually no problems at all. No odd noises no movement
Do you have to leave some hanging out or can you trip them before installing into the vehicle?
Dwayne IsLandBoi81_Mr.868 you can trim it before you install it. I did. I didn’t want all that stuff hanging
Awesome man. I’m removing my headliner today to start this. I def enjoyed your content. Very helpful man and thank you.
Bro do you have an IG? I have a few more questions I’d like to ask you if you don’t mind.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good job, but I have one comment
Why didn't you unify the color of those air conditioning vents and interior lighting
It would look good in matte or slightly glossy black
Any issues with the fibers through the vent ducts? Any melting or some being blown out or pulled back through because of the air blowing?
Man everything still works perfectly 1+ years later. No issues at all
@@srt_392__ Alright thanks my dude! I'm doing this on my 97 suburban. Your video is a great help!
So how's it holding up cause I just got a tahoe this week and I've got a lot of stuff on the way
I have not had any issues at all. If you have the time it’s worth it
Bro I want to get my escalade done. How do I get in touch wit u on it
Where are you located?
bra you did tht thts fire
Would you be willing to do this to a 2007 Lincoln Navigator? And if so...how much would you charge and roughly how long do you think it would take? The vehicle is located in Atlanta.
K. D.G hit me up on ig srt_392_
Already a Done deal Cuz!
Hey what’s you use to poke the holes perfectly?
It’s called a “pick” tool you can get it from any hardware store. I show it in my other starlight videos
Where did you get the suede headliner from bro? Thanks for the vid
Robert Walker you can get it from any upholstery shop. Even online
@@srt_392__ What was the measurement?
@@Alpi_Is_In_Trouble 4 yards is enough to do the headliner and the sun visors

How did you connect the negative and positive to the box?

The same pick tool I used on the rest of the truck

The tool he used is called bull nose ring pliers. Just found out
How much to do mine? As soon as I heard backyard customs I knew you were in socal😂
I don’t install sorry.
I said the same thing
how many fiber optics did you need
For this truck two kits definitely look better then 1.
Removing the ceiling looks very hard
Do you have the link for both boxes?
The link is it the description of this video. Click on there and you will see it
@@srt_392__ and you said you bought two of them right?
@@DrayDozier318 yes, so I had a total of 900 lights
Good job. But u didn't show u wire the motor
I put a detailed overview in another video
Since he wired it to the domelight want it cut off in like a minute and it won’t stay on
Luke Branham I thought so but it stays on. I talk about it a little more in my latest video. There’s a body control module that stays on and won’t let the lights cut off
Could I pay you to do it for me ?
No sir 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
