That's actually what I was going to do this week, to sort of celebrate my doing LGR for three years now. But I ran out of time, and still am not quite sure how to make the video interesting and not run for like four hours!
About the Overclocking if you pressed the space bar or right mouse button to activate it when the bar is full (the bar is filling up if you killed more enemies) every body have its own overclocking ability :)
PS: I suggest you look up Beat Hazard. It's an inventive little twin-stick shooter found in the Xbox Live Indie Games. It uses the music on your Xbox360 to generate the intensity of your weapons and enemies. It's really impressive.
When did you finally figure out that the "overclock" bar is a charge for the special weapon tied to your chosen body? My guess is that if you use the LMB for a normal attack, then RMB would be the special, just a guess.
Hello LGR! Just wanted to say that I love your channel and your videos. I can tell you have genuine passion for video games and even though I don't particularly favour DOS games and old PCs, you talk about them with so much enthusiasm, it is impossible for me not to enjoy what you're doing. I put you in my recommended channels. I hope to see you around on Day Z at some point! All the best.
The BATTERY is your health. The Over-clocking is a clean-streak counter that, when filled, causes all enemies to slow down while you fly circles around them. Please thumbs up so he can see.
+1 immediately for mentioning Operation: Inner Space. I actually bought the full version and got an SDI sweatshirt with it. I think I still have it somewheres.
I don't know if you take requests, but have you considered doing a Tyrian 2000 review at some point? Possibly my favourite scrolling shooters, and it's free on GOG so you can bring up their awesomeness again :)
I see you are also a sufferer of *hug the enemies and their projectiles* condition LGR. I myself am trying to live with this incureable condition, its hard to live a dayly life in videogame land with this. Pacman taunts me, tohou points and laugh and i just cry when even the indie game hipster club writes twatter messages that even extra lives wont help me. :(
Nice review clint, anychance we are gonna get a video of your entire collection sometime soon? im interested to see everything you have even if the video ends up being 40mins+ :P
I don't remember if I asked before but would you consider doing a Let's play on Zeliard ? I know you like it very much and I enjoyed it alot also, so I think you would be perfect.
I know make it a series. Split it up in a couple parts by Manufacturer or Time Periods. That way its win/win, we get to see it all and you can keep them short interesting and fun.
You should try the Brian Spencer's Hacker Evolution games, they are a recent text based adventure game. Also maybe an LGR plays Mount and Blade Warband. Keep up the awesome videos.
i dug around in my old drawers and found a game called mechwarrior mercernaries 2. i tried to install it but with no succes. from the box art it looks pretty sweet and i really want to see what it looks like and meaby have you review it. i live in europe so sending it kinda is not an option i can do. but if you find it somewhere or i could copy the disc and send the files to you because i would really like to see it.
hey LGR, have you considered a LGR plays The Walking Dead? a more story-driven game to change from your normal routine perhaps? :) P.S. I think you're possibly the best RUclips commentator/reviewer in the world IMO!
Another similar simple shooter game worth trying out is Invaders: Corruption :) Trying it out doesn't eat a lot of your time unless you want a better high score.
Its like trying to hug a touhou main char, you know somehow that pain is what one will get. even if you present them with chocolate/money/blood/books.... they are still gonna make pain upon your very sanity.... :(
omg... you have replied to my comment omg omg omg... i think i just nerd-gasmed! ahem... ANYWAY yeah lol i meant normal videos... and i really hope you get the game and if you do play it, please record it for our amusement :)
I seriously like watching these videos of you playing but damn... seriously read a booklet. Lol i knew the whole time your battery up top was ur life and the over clocking was some sort of super power, every video you don't know what your doing... then again it makes it that much more interesting to watch really.
Huh, you're right, there's something called the Survival Console that seems to be it. I thought that had to do with the campaign but apparently not!

Heh, I didn't know I had a "normal routine"... but yeah, I've thought about giving the game a try, just haven't gotten it yet.
Yes, should be a nice little game for those with lower-end PCs.
I am admittedly awful at these types of games, and 2D shooters in general. They may not love me, but I love them.
I said exactly this in the video later on, so yeah, no need for me to see what I already know and mentioned. Just took me a few minutes to notice :)
It's called Norton Antivirus. McAfee and Kaspersky also have their versions :P
Honestly, the closest to this is probably Operation: Inner Space.
I certainly hope to someday! Awesome game.

Hehe, happy to hear I'm not the only one :D
Depends on what you're used to. It's easier to keep your aim on enemies with the mouse, that's for sure.

Would help if there actually was a manual... or even a screen telling you stuff.
The BATTERY is your health.

If I could play this with a controller, I'd have alot of fun with dual firewallers and spinning the right stick around like a pyromaniac!
It would probably help if you didn't charge through large groups of enemies, like, all the time.
"Your in my way sir!" "Your standing in my spot sir!" "Your in my way si" *bang*

Desura... when they were a good alternative to Steam for indie games...
now the game is free on Steam as the ost

Oh man, I remember Operation: Inner Space. Is there a chance we could get a review on that at some point in the future?
I see you are also a sufferer of *hug the enemies and their projectiles* condition LGR.

Hey, Clint, would you ever do a LGR Plays of Alien Shooter/Zombie Shooter?
Not like you to have not read the manual Clint although I get the feeling your mind was occupied with other things making this one... ;)
You are definitely the fastest reviewer.
