Great . I am loving this talk, as an owner of a Kiev 4 and 2 Contax's (aka Kiev 4 & 4a). I have had the Contax 4 serviced by a person in Florida (USA) who has a manual, translated into English. The camera works flawlessly . The other 2 are backups, encase the Contax 4 fails. Also have the (1950 ish) Zeiss Sonnar 50mm f2.0, and Kiev 135mm, 85mm and 35mm. Took awhile to collect these, mostly from Ukraine , some form US sources. Thanks KB
What a great video! I run with a Contax IIIa, and while it is post-war, I do want to put together a Canadian Film and Photo unit WW2 impression, again because, in my other reenactment garb, I represent a British solider of the Napoleonic Era and carry a musket, for WW2 I want to run with a camera. I have a Sonnar 50mm f/1.5 and an older Tessar 5cm f/3.5, both deliver excellent results. Also, I'm realising I stopped into your shop in 2015 when I was in Europe for the 200th-anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Waterloo.
Great timing. I just got a Contax II from 1936 and finished my first roll today. I enjoyed this history lesson; thank you from the UK.
