My personal favorite Steph Curry playoff performance. I know he’s had other games where he’s scored more points or come up big in bigger games in the Finals. But here, game 7 for the conference title, not at 100%, with the rest of his team struggling to keep pace with OKC for part of this game and having to deal with KD and Russ, the way he raised his game and just throttled OKC and their one-two punch and willed them to victory was unbelievable.
It’s hard to choose between this and game 6 at Houston in 2019

Sprained MCL which can take up to almost 2 months to fully heal and he injured it in the playoffs and still returned a round later in the postseason. He came back to try to finish the title run but he wasn’t the same player. Some games he dropped 36-38 points and other times he shot terrible and couldn’t even shake defenders like Kevin Love or Tristan Thompson. Its clear he wasn’t healthy but the Curry critics gotta reach somewhere.

Curry moved so well in this game and was so springy. I couldn't believe how slow his movement was in the finals. Sadly I guess his knee kept getting worse.

2017 he was great too but the last 2 years there's been a slight dip but I'd argue its more injuries than confidence. The amount of knee and lower leg injuries he's had isn't talked about enough every year he's missing games because of an ankle or an MCL sprain and as you age the slightest step back is huge. His quickness and finishing ability now compared to 15,16, and 17 isn't close but i'm hoping the long rest he's had now brings some of that burst back.

No you can't see that actually... Steph was not hurt anymore come Finals time, he sprained his knee in the first round and was given a 2 week recovery diagnosis... The Finals started 5 weeks later... He was actually immediately fine after returning from his knee sprain when he dropped a 40pts, 9rebs, 8ast game in his very first game back from the injury. Steph played like his usual playoff self in the 9 games that he played in the WCSF and WCF leading up to the Finals, this is what Steph averaged in those 9 games:

Steph also never limped even once in the Finals and even went for a pointless dunk in between plays in game 3 that LeBron blocked which if he were actually still injured could have caused him to hurt it even worse on the launch or on the landing of that pointless dunk attempt. Steph was healthy after returning from the knee sprain, the Cavs just played great defense against him, especially LeBron who played the biggest part in causing Steph to have the worst playoff series of his career.

No he didn't have knee surgery, you just made that up, he has only ever had ankle and hand surgery... It is an excuse, a poor one, Steph's previous knee injury wasn't hindering him anymore when he returned in the 2016 playoffs.

I think Westbrook plays way too many minutes. He looks gassed out in the 4th quarter too often. He has to guard Curry all 4 quarters because he's basically the only player on his team that can guard him. Plus the fact he has to run the offense as well. But Billy Donovan's inability to change the fact that they kept switching after screens is mind boggling. Curry had a mismatch every time they switched, even when KD was guarding him. If you're gonna make Westbrook guard him, make him guard him regardless of screens. Curry exposed them in the 4th quarter of the last 3 games because he found the weakness of the team. Something OKC failed to realized.
