I'm right handed I cast with my right hold the rod with my right and retrieve with my left its odd but surprisingly more manageable and comfortable to me
Besides the big catches, what I love most about your videos is how you get straight to the fishing with no buildup. You introduce the vid quickly, and then cut to the action. Love it
Left hand retrieve . Cast with my right . I’m right handed and feels so odd to jig with my left , super natural feel to use my right to jig and finesse the bait
I enjoy black tip h but I just have to say he is the most aggressive reeler I have ever seen! Hey freakin rips the fish out of the water like he is in a race or on tourney timer!
Conventional reel/baitcaster: reel with right hand. Spinning reel/fly reel: reel with left hand. 95% of fisherman do this which is why they are manufactured differently with each modality.
Literally every reel I use I have to switch it so I can reel with my right hand. I’ve just NEVER been able to reel with my left... plz tell me I’m not alone
Just let you know black tip h when you handling the fish has a protective barrier and if you keep on handling that fish you break the protective barrier and then It will die in 2 to 3 days
I'm right-handed but I've always reeled with my right regardless if it's a spinning or deep sea reel! I can't stand how people use deep-sea reels on their right hands and think that on a spinning wheel the handle supposed to be on the left when you automatically switch it to the right if it doesn't come that way!!! And then they wonder why they can't jig properly!
You reel with your dominant hand with casting reels and cast with your dominant hand and reel with your non dominant hand with spinning tackle. You guys already know the answer to this beginner question.
Love the channel... Thanks for the videos... In the next 2 months I'm going to be relocating to Venice FL. I've never been deep sea / salt water fishing but am an avid bass fisherman... This looks to be a whole new ballgame. What are some of your tips or suggestions to a newcomer to the saltwater fishing world... Thanks.
I have a physical impairment in my left hand so i actually hold the rod upside down. With the reel on the left side of the rod. I reel in with my left and hold the rod with my right.
I'm right handed and have always preferred to reel with my right hand. That said, I caught so much flak from my brothers and buddies that at 27 I've pretty much switched to the left.
You don't need to take a poll, there's an actual answer: You reel with your dominant hand because it is more coordinated. Holding the rod doesn't require coordination. Whatever extra strength to hold the rod you might have in your dominant hand, it's outweighed by the fact that you can reel faster and react quicker with your dominant hand. That's why most saltwater conventional reels are right handed. Holding the rod with the dominant hand may be a good idea in certain applications, such as fishing a lake with a worm where well-timed, subtle rod movements are key. And likewise a lot of those fishermen use left handed reels in both spinning and conventional.
Right handed, reel with right hand. Still new to fishing but that's what feels comfortable. Maybe once i go for big fish I'll reel lefty to pull Right armed.
Left hand reel gang. Makes the most sense to hold the rod in your dominant hand which for me is right.
me its the other way

That’s how I am too but i guess it’s how you’re taught with
I'm exactly opposite this. Right handed. But I reel differently depending on top or bottom reels.
I’m right handed but I feel with my left on baitcasters and spinning setups
You should try a right handed baitcaster reel
Feel?
you pull with your left if your right handed and right if your left handed. Love the content
I enjoy black tip h but I just have to say he is the most aggressive reeler I have ever seen! Hey freakin rips the fish out of the water like he is in a race or on tourney timer!

But what's the reason i bet you cast with your right hand so why you dont fish with it on the baitcaster?

Nice weather for fishing. Good catch.
I reel on the left side I’m a righty it’s uncomfortable on the right side
I reel on my left side idek why that is a competition literally 80% of reels you see are on the left side... no question.
I personally prefer right hand, it’s weird to me left handed reels feel better to right handed people lol
Cupcake _ I know right?? It’s kinda weird I guess we would rather control the rod because that takes the most precision?

FuriousNinja yea but like right hand is like better

Right handed all the way no contest it’s way harder to reel with my left hand for me
Awe man I wish our fishing for ambers was so close we usually have to go 30miles offshore but we usually get the average 20lbers out there.
Definitely right handed side reeling🙌🏼
Just let you know black tip h when you handling the fish has a protective barrier and if you keep on handling that fish you break the protective barrier and then It will die in 2 to 3 days

Right handed, reel with right hand. Still new to fishing but that's what feels comfortable. Maybe once i go for big fish I'll reel lefty to pull Right armed.
You should reel with your non dominant hand because u need the power of your dominant hand on the rod. I reel with left hand
Righty righty all day lol
For small fish I reel with my left. If I'm sturgeon fishing I use right, because they don't make big enough left handed reels. I'm also left-handed
I’m right handed and I real with left. I use my dominant hand to make my pulls up on the rod more powerful and to keep the rod more stable
Nossa, cada peixe enorme!!
Depends, bait caster on the right side. Left hand on fly reel and open face 👍
Just ordered a phone case love it
Right handed reeling for bottom fishing all the way
Right side for baitcasters, left side for spinning
Left hand for fly fishing, right hand for bait fishing
My husband and I both reel with the handle on the left. Our right hand is dominant and holds the rod.
Right, always
Left hand for my preference but it depend because i think it is better to grab the rod with you’re good hand 😁
Spinning reel-left Baitcaster-right
