Music Track: The Magnificient Escape by Robert Meyers
Töölöntori is a charming urban square and marketplace located in the Töölö district of central Helsinki, Finland. It's surrounded by Runeberginkatu to the west, Topeliuksenkatu to the south, Tykistönkatu to the north, and Töölöntorinkatu to the east. The square is known for its daily open-air markets (Monday to Saturday) and occasionally hosts other events.
The area around Töölöntori features buildings from the 1930s, showcasing architectural styles like classicism, art deco, and functionalism. There's also a nostalgic Alko store nearby, designed to evoke the style of old-fashioned service counters.
Töölö Church (Töölön kirkko) is a Lutheran church located in the Taka-Töölö district of Helsinki, Finland. Designed by architect Hilding Ekelund, the church was completed in 1930 and is a fine example of Nordic Classicism1. Originally serving as a parish center, it was dedicated as a church in 1941 when the Töölö parish was established.
The church features a main hall that can seat 400 people, along with two smaller parish meeting halls. The architecture is influenced by Italian rustic churches and Renaissance styles, and the church is known for its pink exterior. Inside, you'll find various artworks, including a wooden crucifix made in Oberammergau and a partial sketch of an unfinished painting called "Iankaikkinen elämä" (Eternal Life) on the altar wall.
Topelius Park (Topeliuksenpuisto) is a beautiful and architecturally significant park located in the Töölö district of Helsinki. The park is dedicated to Zacharias Topelius, a renowned Finnish author and journalist1. It features two distinct sections: a natural area and a geometrical park with two successive rectangular sections and a horseshoe-shaped section at the end.
The park forms a green axis between two notable public buildings: Töölö Church, designed in the Neoclassical style by Hilding Ekelund, and Töölö Library, designed in the Modernist style by Aarne Ervi1. This combination of natural beauty and architectural elegance makes Topelius Park a unique and serene spot in the city.

Nää on komeita videoita! Mukavasti vetristyy pääkoppaan, missä mitäkin mm. pääkaupungissamme on.
Videoiden info-osat ovat kattavia mut ehkä voisi joitakin kohteita (kaupunginosa / huomattava rakennus / puisto / aukio / tori) tekstilläkin videoon nimetä, niin pysyis tällaiset ei-stadilaisetkin paremmin kartalla... ?? 🙂??
