Perfect for playing Pokémon yellow/crystal at work secretly and having my phone free for… well work stuff! Also I read that you can get L2 and R2 by holding the function button and then L1 or R1. The PlayStation 1 is just icing in the cake… crash/spyro will be fun but I am excited for less popular Future Cop LAPD, Army men Air Attack, Ace Combat 2, Twisted Metal 2, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit III, and Battletanx Global Assault.
I'm brand new to your channel and content and absolutely wasn't expecting the over the top nerdy voice but it works and your review is fun and informative.
Found you a few weeks ago. Started with new, going back to old videos. Boy oh boy has your voice improved since your older voices. So much more natural sounding. Thanks for all the work you put into your videos!!
Should do an updated video on the funkey s now that the latest firmware ups the screen fps to 60 FPS from the old 50 FPS. Games on mine run so much smoother now.
I love this thing. I have a Retroid Pocket 2+ that I never play - too much hassle to set stuff up, no proper sleep mode so I have to remember to turn it off, wait for it to turn on… I have a Miyoo Mini which is great. But for Gameboy games I just love it. I would love them to make a V2, yes, get rid of the bezels, stereo speakers, USB-C, and perhaps slightly, just slightly larger, approaching a folding Miyoo Mini. That would be amazing.
It's definitely overpriced. It's a good little device, it has a good system, and it has the horsepower to run some impressive things, but considering it really is a novelty that you won't play for extended periods of time the price tag is too steep.
I have a bunch of old legit systems (GB, GBA, NDS, 2DS, Switch), but as for these emulation devices I have everything I've reviewed on the channel - LDK, Bittboy, Powkiddy v90, RG 280v, Miyoo mini, and the funkey s. For anything larger than pocket-sized I emulate on my phone with a stretchy controller (review/video of that coming soon!). My fav handheld is the Miyoo mini presently. What about you?
Hey bud! So for motherboard compatibility, you need to know the socket for your processor. If you search for the name of your processor (for example, i3 9100f) and 'motherboard compatibility' you should find a list of motherboard types that'll support that cpu.
You'll need an H610, B660, H670, or Z690. If you want to save some $ and don't care about overclocking your ram you can go for an H610, otherwise I'd suggest the B660. You can see a list of the differences between the motherboards that support the 12100f here: digitalmasta.com/difference-between-intel-z690-h670-b660-and-h610-chipsets/
Nah, the _PocketSprite_ was too small, being roughly the size of a Zippo Slim. The buttons are too tiny for anything requiring fast reflexes and the screen is too tiny for most text to be readable, which knocks out the vast majority of slower, menu-based games like RPGs. Ended up regifting mine to my older brother, who's more interested in simply owning rare gaming devices than in playing them. This, meanwhile, is small enough to be remarkable, but still big enough to actually play games on.
I have played this for hours and had a lot of fun.
This old video has weird sound.

Haha thanks for giving me a chance, I'll grow on ya 🤓

Every time you said "you can put it somewhere" ,the next thing comes in my mind is "so someone can steal it".
NOBODY would DARE steal my handhelds! I'm not a violent dweeb but I would break out my full medieval armor and battle axe to defend my tech toys!

Agreed. Drum's custom firmware is bloody awesome.
Screw it. I'm watching all sorts of your videos and I love em, lol. It's time I subscribed. ❤️
Welcome Mr Pineapple 🍍
Been thinking of getting either this or the rg nano solely for GB/GBC.

I wanted one until the price part. $70-80 could get me a miyoo mini or 280v. But this device is adorable, I'll get it when it's closer to $30.

@@TechDweeb it is more, what you have. For me, it is convenient and in my bag for waiting at the doctors office or it works during really slow hours.
2 years later, still $70-80 lol
Excellent choice for Hobbits, Smurfs & Peter Dinklage...
...the rest of us, not so much!
I love the thought of hobbits playing on tiny little GBAs XD
Oh my ears 😢
Just ordered the atomic purple version.
So how does it run doom?
super funny, lol. loving your videos
Thanky!
I guess this guy has always had a cold.
Feel better soon, Buddy. 😅🎮
Speedrun to get glasses. lol
I want one just for how small it is
Did your Funkey S come with some freeware NES games?
Yup
@@TechDweeb epic. I'm the author of two of them and I just found out the other day they were shipped with the Funkey S so now I have to get one. 😂
How do you press L2 and R2?
Not possible AFIK. Maybe you can bind them but then you'll lose another button :/
This is my fav. handheld.
Very cool bro!
Accurate! My favouritestestest revioo yet!
@TechDweeb what all hand helds do you have, and what is your favorite handheld?
"If you read your manual like I didnt" 😂

I'd be super helpful to post how to do box art

Why couldn't sometimes done things be both stupid and cool? This one is pretty useless, but completely adorable.
Why are you making that voice?
Hey love to be early
Its perfect for tiny raccoon hands!🦝...love yer BMO!
The last time I lent a raccoon a retro handheld he gnawed the dpad off :/
