Thank the Lord for your vids! I was supposed to have gotten rid of my 09 Civic for a few months now. Was FINALLY going to do it the other day but found out I actually have to keep it. Gotta do stuff to make me love like you did. Thanks
I was laughing through this video because I have done all the same upgrades on my 2010. Belt molding, back-up cam, head unit (not Android), interior, back-up, license plate, and trunk LED's. The one mod I haven't completed is upgrading the headlights. The PO put in a cheap set of aftermarket units that use the old-style bulbs so I have to replace the entire headlight assemblies, which means that the front bumper has to come off.
Great minds think alike, thanks for adding this and I appreciate you watching and commenting
I'm a subscriber with a 2008 Honda Civic and appreciate all of your videos that have helped me so much.
I appreciate your support, thanks for watching 👍🏼
Factory parts for Hondas are principaly made by DENSO
Great info, thank you
@@dannysdiygarage I have a 9. Gen Civic FK2 with the same engine and I'm from Europe and unfortunately here is illegal having aftermarket led lights. But I installed them anyway. And I plan in future to upgrade the front Shocks with Bilstein B6 and rear KYB Gas a Just (monotubes). It can be a good future upgrade I guess Danny.
@@iansellan great information
Thanks Danny for your videos, looking forward to that reverse light video, could you try conjuring a 360° cam in the passenger side ORVM.
Sounds interesting, I’ll research that
Amazing Videos! keep up the great work, also picking up the window moldings with your link. Love my 2008 Honda Civic!
Awesome! Thank you!
🙏 thank you
Gratitude
Thank you for the great video. Could you please put the video link to the B pillar sticker upgrade? I couldn't find it on your channel either. Thx
I added the link in the description, thanks for letting me know it wasn't there
Hello my honda civic RPM drops on first gear move
I have videos on cleaning the throttle body and idle learn reset, check them out
Danny, you are like Mr Rogers for car enthusiasts. Thank you for your videos you deserve more views!!
Appreciate your kindness
I love the vids, can you do one on the fender line or mud guards?
I’ll look into that
finding OEM parts for my 95 Civix has been a challenge. i will make a video on some Japan made alternative that I’ve found.
I would love to see that, that will be a very informative video
Danny!! Just subscribed and found your videos because we bought my 16 year old teen first driver a 2010 civic DX with 181K miles-one owner, super clean. Already ordered the moldings for door widows and windshields via your links, BUT I can’t find the link to the stickers for the small panels between the doors! Can I have that? Also, we’ve watched all the maintenance videos and are taking it into Honda to have it allllll checked out prior to turning it over to her.
The link is in the description
Think we will get another 100K out of the civic? It was well-maintained, but that’s pretty high mileage! Fingers crossed!!
@@dannysdiygarage Thanks! They won’t ship for over a month from China, so I went with another brand/company, but I’m sure the application is the same! Also, I noticed you said you’d now add an adhesive. Any suggestions on which one to use when we apply these? Thanks so much-super helpful and I’ve already used your links to order moldings, etc. to improve her new (very used) car!
Hey Danny thought I’d reach out to you on your most recent video. I have done a numerous amount of work on my 8th gen based on your videos. One issue I’m having right now is a leaking o-ring from the camshaft actuator cover. This is what I’m referring to 12240-RNA-A00 Cover, Camshaft Thrust. Well the one of darn bolts is starting to strip so I stopped. How would you approach this situation where it’s a very tight area due to the wire harness not being flexible? It took a little work removing a few bolts and reassembling to do the job, just so I failed on the bolt extraction. Thanks for your time.
I bought this tool for situation like that Starrett Steel Automatic Center Punch with Adjustable Stroke - 5-1/4" (130mm) Length, 11/16" (17mm) Punch Diameter, Lightweight, Knurled Steel Handle - 18C a.co/d/5VkkGBY
You can also use a punch and hammer, sometimes all it take is a few good strikes on the side of the bolt or screw
@@dannysdiygarage thank you for always reaching back Danny. Although that punch tool looks very useful, how would I tap on the bolt? Assuming you punch at the face of the bolt, it would be impossible due to the electrical wire harness in the way.
Can you send me a picture of what’s going on so I can get a visual, you can also send a short video and I’ll try to advise as best as possible email dannysdiggarage@gmail.com
Thank you Danny, I have already done the head unit, I think I will try the window treatments next
Thanks Danny! The moment I bought my used 2010 Civic I've replaced the door molding & Auxito leds. Up next will be the headlights. Keep them DIY videos coming. Really appreciate it. I've learned a lot just by watching your video. BTW I have no clue whatsoever when it comes to car.
I advise AUXITO Led lamps to Danny, they are so good easy to install (plug and play) they don't blind other drivers. And I recommend MAXGTRS too for H15 led bulbs.
You’re the best Danny! I have a 2008 Honda civic lx and it has no trunk pop option on the key fob. You should make a video on how to add this option using oem or aftermarket parts.
Great suggestion!, let me look into that. 👍🏼
Thank you Danny! I will take a look at all of these upgrades for my 2008 Civic
Appreciate you watching Adam 👍🏼
Subscribed and please keep uploading these civic videos!
I appreciate your support
I used a can of plasti dip on the front grille, rear emblems, and the side pillars and it has held very good. I also did the interior and both high and low beam led lights. Just give’s it a clean updated feel.
I agree with updates feel, my backup camera works great
Looks like your trunk is missing a subwoofer
Yes no subwoofer on my car, I’ve bought this car new
I have an 09 also , they don’t come me with a sub woofer , I was joking , I bought mine in 2016 and put a sound system in it and a sub woofer .
How much was the android touchscreen you put in ?
I was gifted it by the company, Do you need one?
