Yea I Agree it just Seemed like everything Through that time was Great Man And I Would Say The Early 2000s WOW I mean Type in A Game And it's Awesome 😁😏 Stay Safe GOD BLESS Man 🙂✝️🙏👍✌
I recall that as a true freshman in his first SEC game, Chris Jackson scored 58 *at* Florida. *First game! Fifty-eight* When LSU arrived for their game at Georgia, in Athens, where I was a season ticket holder, I still didn't know what he looked like, but was very interested to find out. But nope, during warm-ups, couldn't pick him out. I finally bought a program, which I rarely did, to find his number. When I identified him, I couldn't believe it. He looked like a 16 year-old kid who could pass for a Sophmore or Junior in high school - small in height and stature. Incredible incongruency. *58?* Heck, in my prime I could take this kid one-on-one. Then the game started and it took about two minutes. He may have looked like a kid, but he played as if he was a man on the court playing with boys. There was nothing he couldn't do. Most immediately obvious was his unworldly shooting, and his ball-handling skills that allowed him to get a good shot at any time, regardless of how he was defended. Even Stef Curry needs screens and plays run for him to get good shots. Not Jackson. Simply put, as these videos show, he was unguardable. Chris Jackson just oozed greatness. It was an honor to be in the same building with him. I subsequently saw him play two or three additional games when LSU visited. On his off nights, which were rare, he was still great - the best player on the floor, probably the best player on any floor where any game was being played. I had seen Magic Johnson play when at Michigan State, and Dominic Wilkens play at Georgia. I saw Michael Jordan play his final college game. Chris Jackson was, and remains, the greatest player I have ever seen play in-person. Edit: I've thought more about it and I may have seen a player as good as Jackson - not better - but close to as good. I grew up in the SF Bay Area and when in high school went to the ABA team that played in Oakland. I forget the team's name, but not the player. It was Rick Berry. He was really, really good, although he was a seasoned professional when I saw him play. Jackson was a kid. Oh, and after seeing other videos, I was wrong about Jackson putting 58 on Florida in his first SEC game. He apparently only had 53. Yeah, *only!* Finally, and sadly, I believe his pro career was limited and then cut short because of anti-Muslim bigotry. Bigotry of any kind is immoral, Un-American, and simply wrong. It is very unfortunate that it existed in the NBA when Chris played (and that it has reared it's ugly head recently, encouraged by our nation's leader). I was proud of the NBA a couple of years ago when they stood up for equal treatment of everyone, regardless of sexual orientation. I am ashamed of the way they treated Chris Jackson. He was not only one the greatest players, *ever*, he was a kind and fundamentally good person.
Thank you so much for this priceless information because I did not have the funds to see any college game in my youth to get a close and personal assessment of this man's talent. Only had the privilege of watching just televised game in my local area of Philly. I thought I was being too grandiose when I thought he was the best college player ever BUT your post confirmed my belief! NBA missed out on some VERY GOOD BASKETBALL AND REVENUE... AND THE FANS DID TOO WHEN THEY LET RACISM GET THE BEST OF THEM. HE WAS THE STEPH CURRY OF MY GENERATION AND STEPH WOULD HAVE HAD TO BREAK HIS RECORDS!!! NO DOUBT IN MY MIND!!!!! HE WAS BETTER THAN STEPH WAS.....
So much fun to watch Chris Jackson play. I will never forget attending Ole Miss vs. LSU in Oxford where he and Gerald Glass went head to head with both men scoring over 50 pts.
No sir saw Steph at Davidson wasnt this lethal, Tourette Syndrome deprived him and us. Steph has more range, but Mahmoud gets the nod on quickness and athleticism. Steph, Kyrie, Lillard Wall etc better hope no one events a time machine just saying.
CJ JUST SO DAM SMOOTH MAN WOW I LOVED EVERY GAME HE PLAYED IN AND AFTER HE LEFT IF RANDY LIVINGSTON WOULDN'T HAVE GOT HURT HIM AND RONNIE HENDERSON OMG THAT'S ALLLLLLL IMA SAY LIVINGSTON STARTED LSU'S FIRST 6 GAMES 1 YEAR AVG. 11.8 AST. A GAME WOW
It's just too bad that Jackson and Roberts didn't stay a couple more years. LSU would have been an all-time greats in 90-91 and 91-92 if they had a developed Shaq, along with Jackson and Roberts.
Too bad they were beaten by the Dawgs and Litterial Green dunked on Shaq. National television and after being up by 19 at half, Jackson was not the story, too little, too late.
what the (d) read, I got played, but it's alright. I aint mad at ya. gia, like I said you are not goddess material. I can hold a conversation in my mind also, with out no one's help, chris, so program this, you can have your satanic music just because some woman broke your heart a long time ago, and you never gotten over it. try living in india and leave your place of residence to me. and when you meditate, I was the one when you was here was trying to have a decent conversation with you , but you had to put your son on the bus to school. learn about me before you make assumptions. ill brang it if you want, but when you brang it make sure you bring your best. ill talk to you later, I have a cell phone. peace, son
+Jonathan Lara (fall13) Doing it at college level and consistantly doing it at pro level is totally different thing. Phil Jackson should worried about his Knicks first.
+Wade H Phil didn't claim Chris had the amount of success Steph has attained, he compared their games which is spot on. sniper range with the quick trigger release, ridiculous heat checks.
+Wade H This guy will prolly be more successful if he played in todays rules. Notice why todays nba is the era of pgs? cos they are more protected by the rules than before
The man is no doubt 1 of the best shooters the league has seen!✊
The 90's is and always will be the greatest era ever without question.

+sebeku2 Phil Jackson just agreed with you. lol
nice!!
phil Jackson brought me here lol

@@egbunaobi4237 and not to mention he is only 6 feet tall
I Chris/Mahmoud would do well in today's NBA. If Stephen Curry can be so successful then there is no reason why Mahmoud wouldn't be.
Legend!!!
Forget he played with Shaquille before he became Shaq and other big Stanley Roberts
Y u think shaq dont talk about Chris Jackson
Dude..if i ever meet Shaq..I wanna hear a Chris Jackson/LSU story...forget the Lakers
I remember when they call me Chris Jackson in 2k my career 😂
@7:58 the NO LOOK LAYUP!!! SICK!
One of the best ballers Ive ever seen.

Anyone know where i can find the full games ?
hard, hard.

And they still lost. Damn
The original steph curry
HE WAS CHRIS JACKSON BEFORE HE WAS RAUF
(some black woman) real black woman. I am aware that I am being played, we come from the same mother and father, or did you forget?
and in basket ball, it's just boys playing with balls, I never got that.
+Shun Jackson You could literally say that about every sport. What a dumb comment
yep to a dumb ass sex organ it would be
I'm his brother
Muslims don't espouse gun violence.

Phil Jackson is a clown for comparing Steph to him. His game is more like a Stephon Marbury or Tim Hardaway than Steph Curry
Phil Jackson is a fool? Come on now. Phil Jackson is one of the best coaches of all time.
+Domingo W. lol learn more basketball
Phil Jackson is a Good coach that was lucky enough to coach 3 of the greatest ever. (Jordan, Bryant,O'Neal)
Stephon Marbury and Tim Hardaway had nowhere near the talent of Chris Jackson. You are a CLOWN for comparing him to those 2 guys!
Domingo W. U clearly don’t watch basketball
