Thanks for the video Dave. One thing: on the external renderer, the 5.1 re-render and the 5.1 Loudness re-render are two different things, although with the same channel layout. The later if I correctly recall, is kind of trimmed/weighted for accuracy with other manufacturers meters. That´s the output you bring into PT to place a loudness meter on it. I sometimes feed that into a Nugen VISLM as it has a standalone mode. On your video, you´re bringing the internal re-render Loudness 5.1 into an aux and placing the Insight plugin there, replicating the same process, which is correct, but you´re also routing it to the speakers to check a 5.1 downmix I believe. On the PT setup I/O, on the Re-renders page, you have a 5.1 re-render, which is as pointed above, not exactly the same thing. If you bring it Live and route it through a different aux than the Loudness one, do you spot a difference on speakers? Just curious. Thanks.

I'll have to look at the external renderer again because I don't remember two versions of the 5.1 re-render in there. I probably never looked for it, though, since it's hard to get stuff back in to Pro Tools from the external renderer if you're using the Dolby Atmos Bridge.
For my setup with the internal renderer, I have a 5.1 re-render set up in all of my re-renders more for just printing it offline. I use those re-renders with the external renderer, too, if I'm doing an offline bounce in Pro Tools. I'll have to do a test one of these days to see if there's a difference between the Pro Tools "Loudness 5.1" and just a live 5.1 re-render. I'd guess they null, but I couldn't say without a test.

Great video again! Dave did you happen to test Mixbuss 10 yet? It has a Dolby functionality but only for objects. Nevertheless, I did not know Mixbus(I have Logic since the ‘80-ies) but I took the plunge and it came like a surprise

I haven't tried out Mixbuss 10, but I did notice it has Atmos integration in it.

David is there a guide somewhere to rerouting 7.1.4 from the renderer via Dante back into PT which I can then for monitoring via audiomovers. Struggling with this part of the puzzle.

I don't think so. Are you using a MTRX?
