- Hey party people! thanks so much for hanging out with me while we round out the holiday season with this holiday hustle video! I got everything I needed to be completed! Finished wrapping some Christmas gifts, we made some memories, and I made a holiday breakfast/brunch, simple style! I shared a Costco haul, super fast - and we hosted Christmas eve with a special visitor! What a special holiday season this was and I'm so happy to have shared bits and pieces of it with you! My four kids are all in their twenties and thirties with spouses. As I’ve gotten older I seem to want to do less and less decorating, cooking etc. But I still do it for them. Because yes, they still love it and ask for it. My daughter told me this year that while her in laws have a beautiful big house (much grander than ours) it doesn’t feel festive like ours does and ours reminds them all of their childhood. Trust me, memories you are making now will never be forgotten and mom’s Christmas magic will forever be treasured.

That quote is truly precious. Truly. My mom is 77, just broke her foot November 30. After a week of total hardship with it (she had to stay off it and had no luck w/ crutches, so it was so difficult), she is now in a walking cast with a booty. But it is at times like this that you realize just how much (I am disabled myself) your mother does for you. She is my main caregiver, so thankfully one of mom's siblings (10 kids total) is helping us out, cleaning the entire house, helping me and my needs. She is a total blessing. I love my mom and my youngest aunt, aunt Christine. I feel I don't say it enough, that I love my mother. Love you mom! And yes, I'll say it to her as well. ;)
I loved where Meredith was in the kitchen playing and the only word she heard was "cookie" and she pulls her stool over and says 'cookie?' She is so darling!
Thank you for sharing Michael Buble’s sister’s message. Last year I lost my mom to dementia & this year my oldest is out of the house. I needed to hear this message this year. ❤
For my "other job" I take care of a man with dementia. Best "job" I've ever had & most rewarding! I have done it for the last 8 years. & I pray some day someone does it for my dad too...
@@hannahkayee831 I’m glad there are people like yourself who care for people with dementia. Unfortunately, my dad was the only one caring for her. It was unbelievably difficult for him. I encouraged him to let my siblings & I hire someone to help but for some reason he refused. 🤷🏻♀️

My goal is to make sure my son has a beautiful childhood. I grew up not celebrating any of the holidays ( I grew up as a Jehovah witness). So now I get to see the excitement and joy from my son eyes. I get to see the magic of christmas.
Merry Christmas!! I never comment on videos, but I felt the need to let you know that you've gotten me through this holiday season. Christmas has been rough for me since my sister died on Dec. 20th six years ago. This year my my son, who has a rare genetic blood disorder and has already lost a lobe of one of his lungs, was hospitalized with covid pneumonia and blood clots in his lungs. My husband's job is closing down. I didn't know how I would do it. Then, I found you. Whenever it all seemed too much, I would repeat what you always say...I'm doing my best. Watching you would motivate me to get up from my bed and shop, cook, wrap, etc. My baby was released in time for us all to be together and,even though he isn't cured, we dodged another bullet! I made sure to enjoy every minute of every Christmas gathering. Thank you so much for helping keep me sane and motivating me! I wish you and your family all the best in the new year!❤

Yes, I'm crying! 😥😭 I lost my mom 2 years ago. It's not Christmas without her. I'm surrounding myself with all of her beautiful Christmas decorations. ❤️💚
I taught kindergarten for 15+ years and the students made those cinnamon/applesauce/glue ornaments every year for their parents. We would make them on a Friday and when we returned to class on Monday morning our room smelled heavenly !!! Gingerbread Men Ornaments ❤

Yep crying! I am in the stage were my kids are almost out on their own. My oldest is at Marine Corps bootcamp right now. So this holiday season is hard with him not being here. I needed to here that quote. Thank you 😊
EGG TIP! The correct way to use an egg cooker - you must poke the hole in the blunt end of the egg (they are usually stored with the sharp end down in the egg carton). This stopped mine from cracking. Merry Christmas!
I put a little tiny Nutella jar in my 11 year Olds stocking lol. She loved it, can't beat it for a dollar
This was the first year my kids helped wrapped. We made a whole night of it. Husband in one room me in the other and we wrapped them all in one night. It wasn’t pretty, but it was so nice to have the help and cut the time it took in half!
my kids are all grown some with kiddies aged 1 to 13. seeing their faces ilighting up is priceless. im at my daughters till new years watching her do all the christmas things for my grandson warmed my heart. i could see things i did for her and her siblings. the words you read out not gonna lie i cried.
My favorite present this year is a blanket my daughter bought me it is a memory blanket of my daughter who passed away. She customized it with our names and figures who look like us. I cried because it is so beautiful and I will treasure it forever

The cold eggs tend to crack upon heating and boiling

@@Sara-e-1984 It's not safe to keep store bought eggs on the counter. They've been washed so they don't have the protection that farm eggs have.

Merry Christmas, Kim. It is so true we emulate our parents at Christmas. My sisters and I just lost our precious mother on December 6th. Oh my, did she always make Christmas so special. ❤ I've always tried to create that magic for my 2 kiddos the way she did for us. It is so worth it! If I can be half the mom my mother was I would be very happy. It doesn't have to be fancy or cost a lot, everyone just get out there and create some magic this holiday season. We did this every year when the kids were little. We never get it done now but pray before we open gifts and thank Him for coming to us.

When I was teaching kindergarten, we made the cinnamon ornaments every year. I always used equal parts cinnamon and applesauce and we let them air dry. Worked every time. I still have an ornament I made in about 2010 😂
We are their mirror. My children are all grown up and starting their own homes, they send me photos of all our traditions that they are repeating. Makes my heart sing.

Labels keep falling off laundry baskets? Get a permanent magic marker and put their name up on a corner of the basket. So much fun watchin the kids unwrap presents. Love Wolfgang in his festive Christmas red outfit, especially when he was sitting so perfect on Alex's lap while you unwrapped your presents. Yipee!!! A griddle and a new Kitchen Aid mixer! Perfect gifts, since your red KA fell apart and all the cooking & bakeing you do for the family and sharing with us, you really needed a new one. Good going everyone! I'm currently pregnant with our 5. 3 girls and now 2 boys. Been watching your videos for years but last year with moving and other things I didn't get watch RUclips I'm catching up on your videos when I make food or do house chores and oh my gosh today I'm in AZ heat drinking pumpkin spice needing some holiday spirit ! Listening to your video and oh my goodness I'm balling my eyes out over that christmas quote made my whole day !
For the laundry baskets, I use large plastic key rings and write the names ( or uses on them) and tie them to the baskets with ribbon or string. This help as they won’t fall off.

I wish I had happy memories, traditions and christmas magic and all that, but my family is pretty much as dysfunctional as they come - so for me, christmas has never been this wonderful, happy time, more like a month of slowly sinking into the darkest depression hole. But I'm kind of building my own traditions by watching others and seeing how it should or could be, and then picking and choosing what I like and what fits my household 👍
I want you to know you put the happy in my day, watching your channel.

I’m Muslim and hearing what Michael Buble had posted on his IG had me in tears. Made me realize how special our dinner time and Ramadan and Eid and New Years celebrations were for us growing up. Now we are paying it forward to our younger nieces and nephews but have included birthdays as well. So thank you for sharing. We did the wood slice ornaments this year. Just printed pictures cropped to fit the circle on regular paper, and put a layer of Modge Podge glue down first and another on top of the picture. Turned out great!

Yup I am crying and living proof that really happens as I watch my kids and Grandkids at Christmas that I reenact from my parents and Grandoarents Christmas from German decent. Germans were the first with the Christmas 🎄 tree, and the presents use to be hung from the tree and eventually set under the tree with no wrapping and it's amazing and magical to wake up Christmas morning with all the toys put together and ready to go! The gifts from others were wrapped and opened Christmas Eve after church. 2 days of gifts!

When I make ham I use the juices from the cooked ham and make ham rice. It’s so easy and everyone loves it. Sometimes I will chop up some of the ham and add it in too.

I still have cinnamon ornaments that my best friend in high school and I made back in the early 70's! And if you give them a scratch they still smell like cinnamon!
My daughters daisy troop made the cinnamon ornaments for a senior facility for when they are ill and as the girls were singing Christmas carols the senior were eating the ornaments. Omg we had to run around and take them from the seniors. Unfortunately it was so funny!!

I have been making eggs in the air fryer. 16 minutes at 250. Also had our dash waffle makers out and made cinnamon roll waffles with canned cinnamon roll dough. Super easy, no mess and the fam loved them. Merry Christmas, Wads!

@@maryinmichigan2626 just use the cans of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough, like Pillsbury, and flatten it on the mini waffle maker. Cook. Top with the icing. Super easy!

We had a wonderful Christmas. Our son was home from college and having him home and our daughter is so wonderful. Having my 91 yr old mom with us is amazing too. We miss those who aren't with us but have all the wonderful memories with them.
