The best part of your interview is how you've remained humble in you opinions, yet are confident in what you say and do. You're obviously very grateful for all these opportunities and are taking them seriously. You're definitely living the dream and inspiring us all. Keep going brother. You got a fan for life here.

Realistically, there cannot be another JCVD. His hey day was from 1988 to 1995. I am a huge JCVD fan, and I still enjoy watching martial arts films from the 1980s and 1990s. That being said, martial arts flicks don't have the same broad appeal that they had decades ago. There is still a place for these films, but the size of the audience is smaller than it once was.

His fans tend to blow his ego out of the water, so it does not help. All this said, however, I do think he deserves some major recognition. Hard work has a lot to do with it but so does talent and you have to have both or else you will just stay the same no matter how much work you do. Every professional puts in the work and they all believe they can do it, but the truth is not all of them can. They are limited by genetics and the talent they are born with. Sometimes they even lose what they got early in life and can no longer do it, while others can for a much longer time. You are not in control of that. Holyfeild is the hardest worker ever and had the strongest belief and his comviction and belief in God, but try as he might he cannot fight like he used to unlike Mike Tyson who still can and if the two were to fight Holyfield would get Ko'd in the first round easily just as he did with Belfort. So you can give it your all, but your all may not be enough to compete at certain levels and that's just the way it is. and at a certain age you can't build like back in the day.

There's not going to a "next" anyone. The action genre is a shadow of its former self and now that old men like Keanu are doing their own stunts there's no place for dedicated martial artist actors like JCVD and company. Scott Adkins is probably the last one and he's already getting long in the tooth.

Look, it's not the ego it's heart that matters. The fact that he's willing to step in a ring that takes balls! Do I believe he would win? Yes, and if not, he will not punk out like you think! He always had a drive to push himself beyond believe me I know. You give a man that has a drive, and that is hungry. Most importantly, believe in himself, knowing danger is in front of him, which makes that man very problematic! Let these pros give him a chance and I'll guarantee it he will train hard for it and shock a lot of people in the process. David has had the drive that most people fail at he's been this way since 12 and dedicated his self with physical part health and the martial arts aspect! I seen this shit with my own eyes! No one believes in shit until they see a miracle then every jumps on it like a bitch in heat. They will play it like a joke until they are the ones backed in the corner and you can take that shit to the bank!

I agree that David has a lot of drive and determination. He takes action and is a hard worker and that is what I like about him.
He just needs to face reality and look at himself objectively. I know he talks about believing in yourself but he ignores the possibility that he could lose. He talks about all the plans he has when he wins the fight, but what if he loses? I wish him the best in his fight but I actually think he will grow more as a person and fighter if he loses. I know I did. I thought I could beat people because I had lifted weights for years, I went to a boxing gym and quickly realised I was probably the worst in the whole gym. It hurt my ego but gives an honest view of reality.

It's simply the fact hes willing to step to these guys win loose that takes guts. Even if he loses its a achievement that many never had or are afraid of the opportunity. Hes a tuff SOB and he's not going to have someone beat the breaks off him. He will stand his ground even with the L and when the smoke settles only then people will give him his respect. Well, the Bisping thing is BS. DUX doesn't need you to defend him from Bisping. So why didn't you fight Nam Phan then? He challenged Seagal when he was in the UFC a couple of years back. You ran away to celebrity boxing when he was on your page asking you why you are stalling. You told him you were not interested in him and now interested in celebrity boxing, which would be nowhere near the level you'd be facing if you fought Nam Phan. Plus, you told him you'd KO him in the 3rd round and that he'd be easy for you, and you ran when he answered you and came at you. He came to you, and you ran away. That's it. So the Bisping story was nonsense. Let's see you fight Nam Phan. I'm sure he will challenge Seagal again if that's what it takes for you to fight him. See, you will not do it, so I'm calling BS.

Seagal is older too and not in competition shape so my problem with your statements is you don't make sense. Viking is someone just learning how to box at middle aged and he's challenging profighters and exchampions like Mike Perry . Nam phan took him up on it and called him out on his own page. Viking ran from him after saying he could knock him out in 3 rounds yet he couldn't even KO some little bum with no power last night. Who cares about real fighting? It means nothing. There is a reason Van Dame is the best .. and it's not from real fighting. David can fight if he wants he's already accomplished a shit ton in just a few years. Those hater comments make you look so soft.
