- It's my pleasure to post this video clip of our band taken with a stationary GoPro 360. This video is a series of visual edits from the same camera placed in front of each musician on different nights. The Audio is a mix from a single live performance of the song "Here To Love You", recorded on this tour by engineer Curtis Flatt.
The video was edited and the live audio remixed by Dan Needham our drummer, (who 's talents obviously reach far beyond his world class drumming.)
I believe this video really captures the spirit of our band and it's musical journey these past few months.
These performances are the high point of each day spent out there on the road. Each song a part of the 90 plus min we enjoy sharing so much, with those of you kind enough to come out to hear us.

This is a man that I have loved for years since he sang background vocal for Steely Dan which I didn't know because the voice was so unusual, and thinking he was a brother. How I was fooled when I saw the Doobie Brother's Minute by Minute album and said, where is Michael McDonald, my friend said, you are looking at him. I said no man like him can sing like that, except a brother, he is the best in the R & B business he is the blue-eyed soul singer and boy can he rock. This man has sung with just about everybody except Jesus; he has an incredible career. I hope that he will continue until he is in his 80's like so many musicians have; there will never be another blue-eyed soul singer like Michael McDonald; he is the best. God Bless him; see you, Michael, in CT on Oct 28th, God willing.
What else can you say about Mike? By his fruits he is known: Love, Joy, Peace, Long-suffering, Gentleness, Goodness, meekness, mercy. My wife and our common love of MM was what help to 'seal the deal' Married 8 and counting. Mike, was at Tampa Concert a few days ago.....wife's first concert seeing you. I saw you open ( same place for Steely, AND saw you in 89? Just down the road in Tampa. Played bass for 11 years in a church......Got to talk to Lanice by email. Thanks for Everything, Mike.

I know the man that bought Michael's ranch in Fairview Tennessee. Stay there a couple times when visiting my sister. Saw Michael McDonald in concert at the Peabody in Daytona 5 or 6 years ago. Phenomenal concert!

This rocks! I've been loving The Doobie Brothers since I was in high school (a long time ago!). In high school, I had trouble sleeping, so I used to go to sleep to the Minute by Minute album every night, via a bedsite cassette player that went off when it finished. Sleep! Bliss!

Sweet Freedom is one of my favorite songs, but I was unaware of this song until just recently. Never heard this on the radio growing up, when it was released when I was 6. The version I heard first was the live performance in 1993 on Ohne Filtre Extra, which is on RUclips. This turned into my favorite along side Sweet Freedom. I still love his other songs, solo and with the Doobie Brothers.
If you like this, look up his duets with Kenny Loggins from 2017 when David Foster sat in for Heart to Heart. They also do This is It and What a Fool Believes. Effing AWESOME all around. Never get enough of listening to these songs.
Seen him w doobies in 78 - 79. Also w the DUKES about 10 yrs ago .. his voice was almost gone then. He sounds fanTAStic in this video but he's really pushing hard. Awesome band too!!

You know, with a little work, he could be a good singer ;-). I got to meet him in 1982 on the Allentown Pennsylvania farewell tour of the Doobie Brothers. We shook hands. I was working in the health food store directly across the street from the Allentown Hilton in Pennsylvania they had rented the top two floors of the Hilton, the top floor for themselves in the second floor for the roadies and they came into the health food store unexpectedly. Wanted to purchase some drinks and snacks to take with them on the road to their next gig in Washington DC . I can’t tell you how lucky I was. BTW, Michael was wearing a pink tux!. Peace.

I think I've watched this video about 10 times in the last two days. Love the arrangement and performances. Been binging a lot of live performances of artists I admire since COVID hit - man I miss live shows - but dang I can never afford seats this close to the action. THAT BAND IS TIIIIIIIIIGHT!

Totally miraculous, like all I have seen/heard over the years from you, Michael, and all musicians around you. For me, being a professional 'bongo boy' for 35 years yet, it is interesting to hear the very cool tambourine coming in and out in the right spots without seeing it being played :-) But I know, these days we all do shows with al little help from backing tracks and/or loops.
